1987, Nick was brushing Luciana's hair, Little Beverly came in, Looking up at her father, Tugging on his sweater a bit. Nick Slightly Looked at Beverly.
Nick: Yes, Bev?
Beverly:...why don't me and Lucia have a mommy?
Luciana looked at Nick. Nick sighed.
Nick:...It's hard to explain...
Beverly:...Why do we never see our mommy?
Nick sighed. He quickly tied Luciana's hair up. He went into the kitchen and sat at the table waiting for both his daughters. The little 7 year old Luciana came over and sat down. So did the little 5 year old Beverly. Nick looked at them.
Nick: Mommy...wasn't a good person...And if she was...she'd be helping me with you two...She left...once you came Bev...I told her...she can't just leave me alone with two kids...and then...she did...She left...she flipped me the bad finger...and left...And thats why uncle dan now sometimes comes over to help me with you guys...because your mother didn't want to...
Lucia:...But dad...what about that other woman..or man...it's confusing.
Bev nodded. Nick looked at them.
Nick: Louie?
The two girls nod.
Nick:...Louie...he comes to help...but sometimes can't...because...his mommy isn't a good person either...Louie's mommy...doesn't really like Louie. But that's okay, Louie doesn't really like her either.
Lucia and Bev both look at each other a bit sad. Nick puts his hands on both the girls shoulders.
Nick: Hey...girls, don't worry its okay.
They both look at Nick.
Nick: We've got the rest of our lives together.
The two girls smile and hug their father. Nick hugged his two daughters. Nick was some-what happy with his life. But now having the greatest brother, The greatest friend, and two wonderful daughters. He was actually quite happy. He was free from his mother.
