Today was the day. I had to get ready for court and go. The most dreadful and terrifying day I was finally forced to go to. I went to the closet with my new wardrobe in it and grabbed the outfit. I took a quick shower just dwelling in my thoughts of how this would go. If I lose its over. I won't ever get the justice I need. If I win, I don't know how many other women I'll save, or even help at that plus I'll get justice. Has there even been other women. I didn't know anything but what we have on him from my assault. I guess I'll find everything out when it's over. I just have to wait. I got ready and walked down to the dining room with thirty minutes to spare.

Boris and Theo were sitting at the counter staring at me.

"Are you nervous?" Boris broke the silence. I took a deep breath in and smiled.

"Actually, I'm fucking terrified but I can't avoid this so I'm going to just stay as calm as possible." I said fixing my belt. There was a sudden knock at the front door and all of our heads turned. I opened it to see my officer and lawyer standing there.

"Hi, I'm April Jenkins I'm going to be your attorney. I would like to discuss everything new with this case before we leave." She says in a soft sweet tone. I shook her hand and let her in. She sat down at the living room table and set out files.

"So, wait I'm confused I thought I didn't need an attorney before why the sudden change." I asked watching her prepare a whole set up.

"Well, Ms. Montgomery, we have found new and substantial evidence that can either put him in jail for thirty years without the possibility of parole or for life with the possibility of parole." She said opening one file.

"What evidence?"

"For starters he has now with the case going on had twenty-six men and women come forward about being raped by him, all of them have had a rape kit done and came back with results but because they are in different districts, they couldn't match the DNA nor connect the dots. Secondly, he has also new not only DNA evidence but also fingerprints and no alibi to four women that went missing and their bodies each found naked, tied up, and drowned also with a positive rape kit. So now not only does he have twenty-six rape victims which is automatically punishable by fifteen years in prison by itself but also four women he drowned." She explains fast while showing me each file. Excited yet also horrified that this dude was not only a serial rapist but also killer but also, I can put him away because we caught him after the fact.

"Holy shit." Theo said from the kitchen. The attorney stared at him.

"I'm sorry who are these men?" She asked.

"I'm so sorry uhm this is Theo, he's letting me live with him since my mother is out of the picture and this is Boris, he's Theo and I's best friend Boris was the first and only person I called after the assault." Said introducing them. They awkwardly shook her hand and said hi and she approved of them.

"Boris will need to attend and stand for you, you do know that right?" She said assuring me.

"Yes, I'm aware of that. He will be showing with me." I spoke. She shook her head and collected all the files.

"Alright we will wait in the car for you guys, and you have ten minutes to finish getting ready, Boris will definitely need to change you can't go to court wearing swimming trunks. I suggest the nicest thing you have." She said as she left. I snickered and Boris got all sassy about it. He went upstairs and changed into something nice, and Theo wished us luck and we left.

During Trial

We arrived at the courthouse and walked in to see a bunch of people filled the room. The only seats left were the ones for me, the attorney, Boris, and the officer the rest we completely filled. The judge hit his hammer, and everyone sat down.
