I never forget to give my profound thanks
To the Lord God before I go to bed,
And every morning before I step out of my doorway;
For His love and grace
Conveyed through the blessings
That He showers upon me.
Hence, you run through my mind
When I call upon the Most High;
For having you in my life
Is what makes my heart leap with delight.
You have helped me to feel
Joy in times of uncertainty.
Though I have made many mistakes,
You understand me in every way.
You accept my imperfections,
And do not have unrealistic expectations.
Because of this, I feel free
To show the real me
Before you, knowing you won't criticize.
