I have shared the different journeys of people through this short story collection. While writing these these short stories, I myself underwent a journey and there were many wonderful moments while writing. I hope to share this enjoyment with you. These stories are not based on a single theme, these are just stories, written from my heart, that (as you will see) have no connection to each other, besides the fact that they are the work of the same author ;)

I awoke to a the smell of smoke choking me and making me cough and hack. I looked out of my window and only to my surprise I saw my neighbor, Mr.Billy's, house engulfed in crimson flames. The smoke dark,thick smoke covered the sky like a blanket . I quickly ran down stairs and called my parents but they were nowhere to be found."they're probably outside." I said to my self. I bolted thee the door and saw a huge crowd surrounding the house. They all looked frightened that Mr.Billy was still in the house. Moments later I could hear sirens off in the distance coming toward us. Everyone let out a sigh of relief as the firemen arrived on scene and extinguished the fire. The firemen went in to find Mr.Billy but to no avail. Everyone was now worried if he had burned to death, hiding or never in the house. Suddenly everyone heard a voice saying help the firemen rushed in side and searched the house thoroughly but finally they found him and brought him out I was shocked to see the burn THE END

I've hoped to get some help for myself by writing prayer poems, and I hope to share some that will help you, too, in meter and rhyme, 30 of them available with only one click total.

The book is an autobiographical 'novel' based on the memoir of an 8 year old girl growing up in colonial Singapore. She gives a detailed description of the diverse members of her parent's household, living under one roof of a prestigious Colonial style bungalow. Zubaidah a delusional woman best described as 'one sandwich short of a picnic' is the family Chief Cook. Her humourous antics and spirited escapades are not without drawing undesirable results! Her father, a Detective Chief Inspector with the Colonial Forces, is traced from his Malay Royal heritage, to his emigration to Singapore, and to the eventual 'arranged marriage' with her mother, and the intriguing, humorous, family life that evolved thereafter. She creates a highly visual depiction of incidents, places and the book characters themselves, who all appear to come alive by her descriptive narrative. Her regales of incidents, customs, festivities, events and places not only lend the reader a candid overview of colonial lifestyle in Singapore of a bygone era, but also offers a clear insight into the activities, practices and differences of a community where British colonials are juxtaposed with an amalgamation of a buffet of Asian races of immigrants living under colonial rule, in one country. Her simple yet frank perceptions and other quaint and quirky regales are peppered with humour and mischief; quite contrary to the expectations from one with a regimental upbringing. The 'prince and heir' son, her brother, is introduced, with an alarming narrative of a near death miss involving a loaded police revolver and, a foolishly curious young boy; an incredible account of a supernatural incident afflicting him inadvertently and thereupon revealing their mother's clandestinely disguised ghostbusting skills! Then, a mystical house guest arrives and stays with the family for several months showcasing both bizarre and, endearing incidents ....

Makayla the puppy is quite different from other puppies, because she doesn't socialize very much. But, she meets a Pomeranian puppy with similar problems. There's just one problem- their owners don't want the puppies near each other.
