I stood in Momo's room as we got ready for the ball.
"So you almost slept with him instead of saying what really mattered." She said and I sighed.
"Maybe." I said looking away.
"You better hope he doesn't find someone tonight." She said and my stomach dropped.
"You don't think he will do you?" I asked her and she sighed.
"I don't know. I mean after last night I don't think he will." She giggled and I wasn't sure and got nervous.
"Did I fuck up?" I asked her and she shook her head as she got done with my hair.
"If anything you sealed the deal before even speaking of it." She said as she messed with the necklace Midoriya gave me.
"You'll be fine." She said and walked away.
"Now dresses." She said and picked up my dress.

It took a few minutes but we got the dress on. I helped her and we were off to the ball that started a long time ago.
We giggled and walked in. Their was a lot of people mostly girls.
She saw Todoroki and had left my side to speak with him. I watched and he was ignoring most that came to talk with him. I sighed and looked around for Midoriya. I didn't see him so I walked around a little.
When I did find him he was talking to a group of girls with a drink in hand. I sighed and looked around anxious about the amount of people. When I looked back at him he had finally noticed me and our eyes met. He immediately gave his drink to a girl and walked over to me ignoring the protests of the girls.
Gods he looked good all dressed up.
"My lady." He said and I smiled at him.
"My lord." I said and he smiled back.
"You look absolutely gorgeous." He said looking me up and down. I blushed and looked away. He grabbed my chin and made me look up at him.
"Don't look away." He whispered and ran his thumb on my bottom lip. I blushed harder and he chuckled.
"Come on let's go sit with the others." He said and I took his arm.
We made our way through the crowd of people until we got to a large table. Momo was already sitting there with Todoroki. Midoriya pulled out a chair for me next to her and I sat down. He then sat next to me. He held my hand underneath the table as he leaned on his elbow his head on his hand.
"So about that conversation you wanted to have?" He said and I smiled at him.
"Maybe we should talk more privately without so many prying ears." I said and glanced at the king who was watching us angrily. He also looked and sighed.
"Maybe you're right." He said but never let go of my hand.
"We will go somewhere when we get the chance." He said and then faced forward watching the people.
We never got a chance to sneak off. Girls were all over him. Momo noticed and she had took me for some fun on the dance floor. Of course a few people glared at me while I was happily dancing with everyone. To the point it made my mood worse.
So I just huffed and walked away from the crowd. I ran my hands over my head and closed my eyes. My horns disappeared and my eyes are now my normal color.
I watched everyone nervously. I just got a bad feeling like something was going to happen.
"Hey L/n what happened?" Midoriya asked pointing at my head.
"Oh nothing." I said and he hummed.
"May I have this dance." He said holding a hand out for me as a new song played. I took his hand and smiled at him.
He brought me to the dance floor and we slow danced to the song. I leaned my head on his chest just watching the people dancing next to us.
"L/n." He whispered and I looked up at him.
"You know you don't have to hide right?" He said and I nodded.
"I'm just tired of the looks." I said and he nodded understanding. He smiled softly at me and I looked at his lips. He noticed and put his head on mine. We were about to kiss when someone bumped into me and there was a sharp pain in my neck.
I hissed and brought a hand up Midoriya already freaking out and yelling at the guards to capture the guy.
A guard then came running to Midoriya from the door.
"We're under attack demons." The guard yelled as people started to panic. He held me close so I didn't get trampled.
"Do whatever you must you're in charge. I have to leave now. Make sure the Royal family escapes. I'm counting on you." Midoriya said to him as a sharp pain went throughout my body.
My eyes widened recognizing the feeling. I grabbed the knife that was in my neck and dropped it to the ground. Midoriya picked me up and over his shoulder as he ran through the people and then through the castle.
We got to our room and he was shoving things in a bag. He grabbed my sword and walked over hurriedly putting it on me. When it was on he grabbed the bag and the sword and me and ran through the halls again. I pushed myself up weakly my hands against his back.
"Midoriya." I whimpered as he walked outside to the stables.
"Yes?" He asked and he walked in and to his horse.
"I think the knife was laced with something." I whimpered the air getting cold saying I had a fever already.
"What? Like what exactly." He asked putting me down and putting a hand on my head.
"Vampire venom." I whispered and his eyes widened. He moved my hair and I sighed.
"Fuck it already started." He said and I guessed my veins are already black. He then moved me to a hey bell and sat me down.
"Sit here for a second." He said and got the horse ready to go.
As he did that Yo came from the door we did.
"I'm coming with." He said and Midoriya shrugged.
"Ok." He said not caring about him at the moment. He got on the horse and I stood and grabbed his arm as he helped me up on the horse.
When we got outside demons had just stormed outside and we took off Yo not far behind.
I was trying to hold on the best I could but I couldn't and I ended up falling off and hitting the ground hard hearing a snap as I rolled on the ground. Midoriya stopped right away and ran over.
"Fuck. you ok?" He asked and I shook my head before throwing up everything I had eaten. When I was done he sat me up and wiped my mouth with his sleeve.
"Fuck you're arm." He said and I looked down seeing it bruised and swollen.
"Oh no." I whimpered and he made me stand.
"You're ok I'll take care of it when we're safe." He said and Him and Yo helped me on the horse.
Midoriya got on behind me this time so I didn't fall and we took off again.
