Izuku leaned against the wall watching as two of their faction members sparred while others also stood around watching. He yawned a little as he watched with a bored expression, they had wanted Izuku to see their progress but he was too busy thinking about what to make Haruki for dinner.

Izuku sighed wondering how the boy was training at the moment, was it weightlifting or maybe endurance? Perhaps Izuku should focus on improving his fighting abilities first.

Izuku turned as a guard approached him, "The boss would like to see you, he's in his office,"

Izuku nodded and pushed off the wall heading towards Kenji's office with another yawn. He'd definitely be taking a nap when he got home today. He reached the man's office and walked in without knocking, making sure to close it behind himself. He approached Kenji's desk and the man sat the reports he was reading down.

"Yes?" Izuku asked.

"Honey do you...hate or resent me?" Kenji suddenly asked.

Izuku looked at him perplexed, "What?"

"A lot has been on my mind ever since we discussed Haruki and our plan for him. Are you sure you want him to take this path? Have you properly informed him of what he'd be getting involved in?" Kenji asked.

"Of course I did," Izuku was still confused.

"...I see,"

Izuku frowned seeing Kenji's troubled expression and moved around his desk. The male turned to him and Izuku settled into his lap cupping his face. Kenji's hands immediately made their way around Izuku's waist holding him securely.

"This kind of talk isn't like you, what's going on?" Izuku asked concerned.

"I feel as though I've...taken advantage of you while you were vulnerable. You were young and in desperate need of help when we originally met. Granted it was nothing illegal it still wasn't right to have you drop out and work for me.

Then your mother passed and you were so lost and angry...that was when I introduced you to this lifestyle. It was never my intention to take advantage of or use you while you were at your lowest.

I only wanted to help you and at the time I genuinely felt I was but now that I look back on it I'm not sure that was the right thing to do. I've robbed you of your chance to choose what kind of life you want to live," Kenji turned to him.

Izuku gave him a soft smile, "You're overthinking things again, you didn't take advantage of me you saved me. You did your best to help me when I needed it and I'll always be thankful for that.

This life that I'm living now is exactly where I want to be, I can't imagine living any other way. I love it and I love doing it with you, the day I lost my mother you became my family.

I don't have a single regret, I don't resent you, and I definitely don't hate you. She asked you to take care of me and that's exactly what you're doing,"

Kenji kissed Izuku's forehead and intertwined their hands, resting his head against Izuku's chest.

"Her birthdays coming up, what flowers should we give her this year?" Kenji asked gently caressing Izuku's hand.

"Honeysuckles, I think she'd love that,"

"Then that's what we'll do," Kenji raised their hands and kissed the back of Izuku's.

Izuku's eyes glanced around rapidly, watching their surroundings, as he and Haruki jogged down the street. It had somehow become a race and Izuku let Haruki win, he felt better having the boy in front of him rather than behind.
