Maneuvering her way around the Spanish airport wasn't the easiest thing to do considering the fact that Valentine could not speak Spanish and it was too crowded. Valentine had tried to squeeze her way out of the crowd, but it was pointless because no one could ever make out what she was saying and her voice was too soft to be heard.
Once Valentine had gotten out of the crowd, she texted Fernando that she was already in Spain and that she wanted to get out of the airport because it was hot and she was wearing a flannel with nothing inside but a bra.
Olivier was to arrive an hour later and since Fernando did not want to pick him up, Valentine was going to go back just to pick him up. Valentine was excited to see Olivier but she was not excited to visit the Spanish airport again. It was beautiful, but it was way too crowded and Valentine has an issue with little spaces.
VALENTINE: nando ! please tell me you are here already
FERNANDO: you are here already?
VALENTINE: duh ! please tell me that you & your friend are here already
FERNANDO: saúl and i are on our way
VALENTINE: how long ?
FERNANDO: about 15 minutes i guess
VALENTINE: alright, ill wait outside
Valentine dragged her black luggage with her and made her way outside the airport. Valentine wasn't much of a complainer but this was her first time in such a big country (alone) and considering the fact that she did not speak the native language, it was hard. Valentine knew that there were some people who spoke English but how could she find one in such an enormous place.
Valentine saw a car pull up in front of her and she didn't know if it was certainly Fernando's so she backed up a bit and waited for someone to come out. The front seat's door opened to reveal a brunet man, he was clad in an Atletico Madrid shirt and black joggers. Valentine guessed this was Saúl because she was certain of how Fernando looked like and this was certainly not him.
"Fernando, tu amigo está aquí!" [Fernando, your friend is here!] Saúl said. Valentine didn't understand what he had said so she gave him a smile.
"Me llamo Saúl. Encantada de conocerte." [My name is Saul. Nice to meet you.] Saúl said, grabbing Valentine's hand so he could shake it. Valentine didn't understand Spanish so all she could do was smile and nod at him. Valentine was shocked by his gesture and she decided to give him another smile. Valentine felt shy around new people especially if they were foreign.
"My name is Valentine." She said. Saúl scrunched his eyebrows because he clearly didn't understand her. All he could make out was her name Valentine. Saúl wasn't much of an English speaker considering the fact that he was born and raised in Spain. Saúl learned some English along the way but considering the fact that he had a young mind and he was awfully busy, he was bound to forget those English words.
"Valentine!" Fernando shouted. Fernando ran around the car to give his blonde haired friend a tight hug which made her laugh.
"It's so nice to finally meet you." Fernando said, gushing over the fact that he finally met Valentine. Saúl stood in front of them awkwardly with Valentine's suitcase in hand. Valentine noticed this and quickly grabbed her suitcase from Saúl.
"How do you say I'm sorry in Spanish?" Valentine asked Fernando. Fernando laughed and turned towards Saúl. They exchanged a few Spanish words and then Saúl went inside the airport.
"Where is he going?"
"He'll wait for your friend, Olivier."
"But he doesn't know who Olivier is." Valentine was pretty sure that Saúl didn't know how Olivier looked like. Saúl knew how Valentine looked like because Fernando probably told him.
