Chapter One • The Kidnapping

Just a heads up, this is a male reader fanfic, and I will be using he/him pronouns.

(Y/n) opened his eyelids after a restful sleep. He probably overslept, but that's ok since it was the weekend. He rolled out of bed and walked half dazed into the kitchen. Taking out some eggs he tapped them gently on the side of the bowl before letting the orange yolk slip out, the egg sizzled on the frying pan.

He decided on an omelette with a side of toast, and some breakfast sausages on the side. Today he eats like a king.

He hummed a tune as he waited for his food to get ready. He then decided to drop another egg in the pan for his sister, who was still dead asleep. It figures, he was always the first one to wake up in the morning.

He flipped the egg over, it was a nice golden brown, which was perfect. He waited once again. The smell overpowered the kitchen, it was a tempting smell, like he could eat it right now.

It was always hard to decide what to do on weekends, he didn't have very many friends. He never got along with other boys his age, and instead became a loner, once he graduated high school he mostly spent time with his family. He worked a couple minimum wage jobs, which kept him busy for the most part. He had no idea what he wanted to do for the future besides be there for his sister and collect comic books and anime figurines.

The eggs were almost done cooking now. It was time to wake everyone up for their breakfast.

"Hey (S/n)! Mom, Dad, wake up!" He yelled from downstairs, and when he got no answer he turned off the stove and went upstairs to go get them.

He reached his sisters door and knocked on it loudly.

"Come on (S/n) get your ass up!" He knocked on her door louder, and when there was no reply he barged in.

It was an empty room, the window wasn't ajar, and everything was clean and tidy which means there wasn't any struggle.

He rushed out of the room quick to his parents room and knocked on their door frantically.

"Mom! Dad! Wake up its an emergency! (S/n)'s gone!" He shaked them awake and their eyes opened up panicked. They all rushed back to (S/n)s room to see what (Y/n) saw. An empty room.

His Dad remained stoic, but he looked frozen in place and uncertain of how to react in this situation. His Mom was having a full on panic attack, she was breathing heavy, and her eyes were wide with fear.

"Oh... My baby... My poor baby.. What happened to her Jon?" She asked her husband, who only shook his head in disbelief. You see kidnappings in the news sometimes, but you never expect it to happen to you.

It was then that (Y/n) noticed a note laid on her bed, it blended in to the blankets, but once found he snatched it up to read.

"Dear (L/n) family.
It is my pleasure to tell you that (S/n) got a spot in the exchange student program at the Royal Academy of Diavolo, otherwise known as RAD. It is a huge honor for your daughter to attend our school, we are sorry for the abrupt departure of (S/n) but just know that she's in good hands.
Yours truly, Diavolo"

Once finished reading the look on his Dads face was furious.

"This better not be some prank, I swear what school takes your child away from you without notice" Mom patted his back.
