Chapter 2: A Boy Blessed by Moonlight

No POV

The dissolving bodies of honkai zombies and beasts dotted the landscape of the village, as the villager's watch in both shock and awe. As they watch the great one massacre the honkai, without mercy he killed them all.

Unknown to villager's the great one was repaying a debt to them.

Mikel POV

My memory cleared up a bit while I was flying over this village, I remembered this place it was a place where could hide from Schicksal. Everyone was so kind, they helped me hide from Schicksal. I even made friends with the people here, I believed I met a boy who was interested in the tales and myth of Yharnam.

 I never understood why a boy his age would be interested in such horrifying legend. I guess his parents told him a different version of the legends, one where men and women hunt beast to make the world a better place. What naïve parents they are, lying to their child about the true horrors of Yharnam.

Before I left this village I think I gave him my book with the paleblood symbol on it. As a way for him to learn the truth about Yharnam.

Mikel: 'I wonder if he is still alive...'

I heard a Ganesha roar behind me as the beast charged at me. I turned and grabbed the beast's horns as I stopped it in its tracks, while making skid marks on the ground. The beast tried to bite multiply times but I kept it back.

I manage to flip it on its side, rip out its core from its under belly and crush it. Its dying roar, as it dissolved, was irritating; I killed the beast efficiently, the least the beast could do in its final moments was die quietly.

Then I felt arrows bounce off my face, I turned and saw a group of rangers raining arrows on to me. Desperately trying to kill me, but I jumped in the air and crashed upon their position some managed to get away while the rest were crushed to death.

Looking around I noticed I was surrounded by flame catapult honkai, Seraph-Class honkai, Knight-Class honkai, Chariot-Class, Templar-Class honkai, and Emperor-Class honkai. With a myriad of different honkai zombies at the front.

I internally sighed, before roaring at them. which caused them to attack, as I charged at the closest group of enemies.

Boy POV

I heard a roar off in the distant, it must from that honkai from the moon. I managed to pull the arrow out my leg, the wound was bleed a little but it then healed rapidly. I didn't have time to react as the fighting between the shadowy figure and the honkai zombies raged on, I got up grabbed my book and ran behind a tree. But when I got behind the tree, I felt something was wrong.

Boy: 'Why do I feel tired?'

I poked my hide out of the tree to see robed figure, I think I'll just call it shadow. The shadowy figure locked in combat with the 2 honkai zombies, after the 2 honkai zombies recovered. The honkai zombies were sluggish, they were probably still affected by that... chant? I think. My mom tried to fire an arrow at the shadow but couldn't aim straight, she then fell to the ground. While the scythe girl was fighting the shadow, she swung her scythe erratically trying to hit the shadow. As the shadow effortlessly dodged and parried her attacks, I think the shadow was toying with them from the beginning.

Now that the shadow had its fun. The scythe girl swung her weapon diagonally, her intention was to cut it in half, but the shadow used its sword to catch the scythe and guide the blade to the ground. When the scythe blade hit the ground, the shadow then tried to cut the wielders hands off.

The scythe girl jumped back thinking that she had dodged the attack. But when she tried holding her weapon close to her, she notice that her hands were gone then she looked at the shadow and saw her weapon still stuck on the ground with her hands still attached.

The shadow just tilted his head to the side, then it disappeared and rushed the girl in a cloud of black mist. before reappearing in front of the girl, before she could react the shadow grabbed her neck and held her in the air.

She tried to break free, but the shadow just strength its grip as 3 snakes with razor sharp teeth emerged from the cloak. The snakes were looking at the girl as if she was prey, then the snakes hissed and the shadow impaled the girl through the chest with its sword.

The shadow then through the girl into a tree as her body began to dissolve. Then the shadow floated in front of my mom on the ground. It planted is sword next to her head with the flat side of the blade reflecting her eyes.

The shadow raised hands a bit and a fire ignited on his palm as the snake hissed at my mom. The shadow then engulfed her in flames as the she dissolved in the fire. Once it was done the snakes retreated back into its cloak as the shadow turn towards me. I walked out of the tree and walked towards the shadow, while I hugged my book close to my chest.

I stop a couple feet away from the shadows as the shadow bowed with its right hand on its chest. I was confused but before I could ask a question it disappeared in a black mist and it went inside my book. Once it went into my book I began to feel dizzy, then I heard the shadows voice inside my mind.

Shadow: I pledge my allegiance to you, young one.

The one who has been blessed by the moon, quiet your mind.

He who has been who has been chosen to be the moons apostle, release your burdens into the moonlight.

Young one who has felt nothing but pain, guilt, and suffering on this night.

Rest under the starry moonlight sky, for the moons presences will keep you safe.

I began to lose consciousness as I fell backwards. But I was caught by something. And that something raised me up, I looked to the side and I saw that honkai from the moon. I was on its palm, I was to tired to do anything so I just trusted the shadow's words and fell asleep on its palm.

No POV

Mikel looked at the boy with pity. He used his powers to view the boys memories and dreams, some were good some were bad. After he left the village, Schicksal arrived not long and almost tore up the entire place just to find him. Luckily Schicksal scouts spotted me before they could.

Mikel heard jet engines nearby, he turned his head towards the village and saw Schicksal transport aircraft in the air. He growled at their arrival and almost charged in, but not wanting them to go after the boy in hands. So he decided to fly in the air, low enough for the boy to breath.

Mikel: 'time to go find my old body...'
