Almost half a month had passed since Soobin told Arin he wanted to see Hyunjin; finally, he got in contact with Arin. She immediately instructed her driver to pick up Soobin from the hospital without anyone noticing.
Hyunjin had no idea. Every time he met with Arin, he'd simply appear apologetic and claim that he had 'a message from Y/N'.
"Y/N will be returning in a few days. She asked me to request that you don't create hype with this incident. It wasn't easy for her to get to where she is today; she doesn't want to endanger her status."
Arin looked at Hyunjin. With Soobin's warning, she had smartened up a little. So, she deliberately said, "I had long given up the hope that she'd keep her promise. Status? Does she deserve to be a model? If anything happens to Soobin, I will make her regret it for the rest of her life."
"Arin, don't get so aggravated. Y/N has no choice."
"Hmmph," Arin grunted in anger.
"Y/N also said you can set your conditions."
"Mr. Hwang, honestly, what were Y/N's exact words?" Arin deliberately tried to make Hyunjin speak.
Seeing her anger was dangling by a thread, he hesitated for a moment, before responding, "Jeon Soobin? What does he have to do with me? Isn't it better if he's dead? Shouldn't everyone from the Jeon family die? How could he dream of me saving him? I am, after all, a famous model, as if I would give up a kidney for an unrelated person. Keep dreaming..."
"Did she really say that?" Aring's face turned unbelievably red.
"Uh huh," Hyunjin nodded. After studying the expression on her face, he continued, "Those were Y/N's exact words."
At this time, the Arin family home's dining room door flew open. In the doorway, stood Soobin. He slowly approached Arin and Hyunjin with the help of the housekeeper. He stared at Hyunjin with his pale face and asked, "Is this really what Y/N said? Are you sure?"
Hyunjin glanced at Arin and back at Soobin. He suddenly felt his confidence disappear. He had never seen Jeon Soobin before, all he knew was that he was sick. Everything else about him, he had not looked into. He simply assumed he wouldn't need to waste any energy on someone that was about to die.
So, the Jeon Soobin in front of him, he had no idea what the anger in his eyes meant.
Was it because he made up Y/N's words?
No matter what, he had already gone too far to turn around. All he could do was maintain his composure as he nodded his head, "Of course...I am her director, why would I slander her?"
Soobin analyzed Hyunjin as he looked him up and down. He then gave a slight smile before projecting two words strongly from his chest, "You lied! Mr. Hwang, don't assume that just because Arin here is naive, your lies will work on everyone. Everything HYP Entertainment has done to Y/N; every step of suppression, just because Arin doesn't like to go online, doesn't mean everyone else is blind to it. HYPE's slanderous recording has been at the top of headline rankings for so long, did you think we are stupid?"
Hyunjin was suddenly dumbfounded by Soobin's words.
He had no way of refuting. Soobin's appearance had caught him by surprise.
"Above all, how long have Y/N and I known each other? Whether she would say such words, don't you think I would know? As if I would need to hear it from you. It's obvious you never spoke to Y/N," Soobin's body was extremely weak. Because of years of illness, his body wasn't in the best condition, but this boy in his early 20's, insisted on protecting the person he trusted and looked up too, even though he was sick.
