Sofia The Posessed Protector

Chapter 3

1 week Later

Amber paced in front of her throne all  nervous and tense.

"Baileywhick!"

"Yes, your Majesty?" The man asked at once.

"Any news from Avalor yet?"

"None I'm sorry."

"Could you please get my dad?"

"Of course."

"Sofia! Where are you?" Amber whispered to herself.

Five minutes later, the throne doors opened. Amber looked up expectantly hoping to see her dad who could advise her. Instead, her eyes landed on....

"Sofia! Finally you came home!" Amber flew to her sister, hugging her tight

Sofia remained silent, but gave Amber a faint smile.

"Where have you been? What happened to you?!" Ambers eyes traveled down her sisters body, where many cuts and bruises formed.

Sofia once again remained silent and broke eye contact with Amber.

Amber released a short breath. "All that matters is you're home again. As promised, you are Cedrics official assistant next to Protector of course."

Sofia gave a quick nod, but remained stiff and detached.

"You're tired. Why dont you go up to your room and have a nice long nap. We'll chat later on." Amber smiled

Sofia nodded, turning on her heel for the exit.

Amber released a heavy sigh. "What am I going to do?"

"About what Amber?" Roland asked coming into the room.

"Oh Daddy! Sofia has returned." Amber stated.

"Thats great!"

"But.." Amber hesitated

"What?" Roland furrowed his brow.

"Shes changed somehow. Sofias tired, has a whole bunch of bruises and worst of all...she hasn't said one word to me!" Amber exclaimed 

"Dont worry Amber, Sofia is probably just tired right now." Roland answered. "I'd better tell Miranda about Sofia returning. Excuse me."

"Of course Daddy. Mother should help Sofia out." Amber sank into her throne, worried about her younger sister.

Sofia sank onto her bed and looked around. Inside the girls head however, a power struggle has been waged. Sofia fought hard the week she was spending in the Secret Library to keep Margarita from completely controlling her.

When Sofia made her public apperance home, she trapped Margarita temporarily in her mind. But the Protector didnt talk because Margarita took full control of what Sofia would say.

"Tell me, who are you?" Sofia asked in her head.

"Eh eh eh Protector. Take me back to Avalor." Margarita demanded.

"No. Why were you in Elenas head anyway?" Sofia demanded.

Margarita's eyes narrowed. "Im just... taking back what should have been mine!"

"You came into my mind. I could not let you control my old friend. Why were you trapped in a book to begin with?" Sofia asked

Suddenly Sofias room door began to jingle. The Protector gasped, as the door opened and in came Miranda.

"Sofia! I so hoped you'd be back!" Miranda came up to hug her daughter.

Sofia worked hard to hug her mother back but cringed as Miranda examined her daughter closely. "Sofia, what happened?!"

"I had a hard Protector mission in Avalor. Thats how I got these." Margarita/Sofia replied.

"Oh, you should see Cedric. I'm so glad you're home safe! We were all worried when you didn't show for Ambers coronation." Miranda stated.

"Uh...Amber?" Margarita/Sophia asked

Inside her head Sofia added quickly, "she's my older sister, who's now the queen!"

"Touchy." Margaria replied.

"Sofia, are you ok?" Miranda asked.

At that moment, inside her head, Sofia was able to take control of her own voice. "Sorry Mom, Im fine. I just need to rest. I'll be around should Cedric or Amber need me."

"Ok Sofia." Miranda hugged her daughter again before leaving.

Margarita turned to Sofia in her head. "You cannot do that! You chose to host me, and host me, you will!" Margarita roared loudly making Sofia shrink physically to three inches tall. Margarita towered over the Protector.

"Now, time for me to return to Avalor!" Margarita/Sofia stated.

Sofia tried all that she could, but Margaritas  hatred was too strong for her. "I need help! Wait, why a you doing this? Who are you to Elena?"

"No one! I must return to Avalor and nobody is gonna stop me!" Margarita/Sofia announced leaving the bedroom.

"Sofia!" Amber called.

Inside her head, Sofia released a whimper knowing her sister needed her, but she couldn't help her now. No one knew what was going on!

Sofia watched as Margarita ignored Ambers calls for her. And watched with sad eyes as she activated the Enchantlet to get the portal feature up.

"Avalor." Margarita/Sofia stated.

As Margarita stepped through the portal, Sofia knocked Margarita aside in her head. To everyone outside there's a portal of Avalor kingdom and Sofia has one foot in the portal and one foot in Enchancia

"Sofia!" Roland called

Inside her head, Margarita pushed Sofia aside and propelled Sofias body forward.

Sofia looked backward at her castle and cried helplessly. She should have stayed like Elena had suggested. Maybe Margarita would have have been more reasonable if she had.

Sofia appeared out in the courtyard of Avalor castle.

"Protector Sofia! What are you doing here?!" A deep voice asked

Sofia whirled around to see Gabe again coming up to her. "I need to speak with Elena at once, please." Margarita/Sofia requested.

"Her Majesty is busy at her families chocolate shop. Ill take you there." Gabe offered.

"Thank you." Margarita/Sofia replied.

"So, why do you wish to see Elena?" Gabe asked

"Its not Elena I wish to see." Margarita/Sofia stated

In her head, Sofia gazed at Margarita carefully. The Protector and the Queen of Avalor hadn't spoken much between the kingdoms liberation and the coronation.

Sofia vowed to find out what happened

"You just said you wanted to see Elena." Gabe looked confused.

"I mean, it's not just Elena I wished to see." Margarita/ Sofia answered.

"Right....ok. Take a turn here and the shop is at the end of the road." Gabe directed 

Sofia waved goodbye to Gabe as she followed his directions.

"Ok, who else are you wanting to see?" Sofia demanded I'm her head.

"I have some unfinished business i need to take cafe of, before I am able to move on." Margarita stated.
