"Calm down Mateo, Elena is in the throne room. Why do you need her?" Isabel asked from behind
"I need to know where Sofia is."
"Shes sleeping. Where? Only Elena knows." Isabel reied
"Why would Sofia be sleeping?" Chrysta blurted out.
"Who are you?" Isabel asked
"A friend of Sofias." Chrysta answered
"We'd better go." Mateo yanked on Chrystas arm.
"Wait?! Are you a fairy?!" Isabel called but the pair were already too far to hear.
"Ok, that sounds good." Elena told Naomi when Mateo and Chrysta burst in.
"Mateo! Who is that?" Elena asked looking at Chrystas wings.
"Sorry your Majesty, Im looking for Sofia." Chrysta did her hardest to curtsy but she only stumbled.
"Excuse me please, Naomi and Mateo. I'll be right back. Chrysta please follow me." Elena answered walking out of the throne room.
Naomi and Mateo exchanged confused expressions.
As soon as Elena and Chrysta were alone did Elena prompt the fairy. "Let me guess, you are another Protector of the Mystic Isles?"
"Ye-yes. How did you know?" Chrysta asked.
"As Queen its my job to know these facts. Avalor is a lot farther out than most of the kingdoms, but the Mystic Isles is a place all rulers need to know." Elena explained as she continued walking through the castle.
"So, what happened to Sofia? We at the Mystic Isles haven't heard from her for about 10 days." Chrysta stated
"Oh my apologies, I sent word to her family that she'd be resting here for a while. I had no way of contacting the Mystic Isles." Elena laughed sheepishly
"Wait, so what happened?" Chrysta flew to keep up with Elenas pace.
"My mother's sister who has been dead for over 50 years returned. Well her spirit at least. Somehow Sofia knew I was in trouble. That girl has a knock for showing up when i need help." Elena stated when they arrived in the music room.
"Its her Amulet of....Avalor?! Her amulet is from this kingdom?!" Chrysta asked.
"Yes, her amulet used to be my mother's. But once I was freed from it, I saw it fitting that Sofia keep it. She's in here." Elena gathered three keys hidden in the room and placed them into keyholes in the paintings.
"Wher does this lead to?"
"Mateos old workshop. I use this area now as a quiet me place." Elena answered.
The room has minimal lighting and a soft bed where Sofia lay sleeping deep.
"How long has she been sleeping?" Chrysta whispered.
"About 12 hours. Sofia, wake up." Elena nudged the younger woman gently.
"Mom, can't I sleep for a few more minutes?" Sofia yawned.
"Sorry Princess." Chrysta answered.
Sofias eyes snapped open. "Chrysta! I'm so sorry, I forgot."
"Its ok but we better get back to the Mystic Isles and then get you home." Chrysta replied.
"Right. Thank you Elena. I hope to see you again." Sofia smiled.
"Count on it."
Sofia turned to Chrysta who activated the portal to the Mystic Isles. The two stepped through.
"Sofia, I'm so glad you're ok." Vega stated quickly.
"Vega, I had quite an adventure in Avalor. I uh...never got to celebrate with my family Ambers coronation." Sofia stated
"You...you fell for Prismas trap?" Vegas eyes widened.
"Yes. When you called, a woman named Margarita was controlling me. Don't worry, shes at peace in the Spirit Realm." Sofia stated.
"Very impressive. Ok, Chrysta would you mind taking over Sofias workload for a few days? She no doubt wants a few peaceful days to celebrate with her family." Vega smiled.
"Sure thing Chief. No get going Sofia, Queen Ambers patience is probably getting very thin." Chrysta winked
"Thanks. I'll be be back in 4 days, promise." Aofia smiled before activating the portal to Enchancia and stepping through.
Enchancia
Sofia stepped through into her room and released a deep sigh. "Its good to be back home."
Sofia left her room and went to Ambers study. She peeked her head in, "Amber?"
Disappointed, Sofia moved on. Next She tried the kitchen. During Ambers teen years, she found a love for making food...the right way. "Amber?"
Sofia found it odd that she didn't bump into her other family members. "Where is everyone?!" Then she poked her head in the throne room where Amber sat looking worried.
"May I have an audience ce with Her Majesty?" Sofia asked nervously.
Ambers head jerked up, and her face broke out in a wide smile. "Sofia?!"
"Its really me. I'm so sor..." Sofia was cit off by Amber running to hug her tightly.
"I am so glad your ok and back to normal!" Amber squealed.
"Amber, I'm sorry. I was the only one who could help Elena." Sofia explained
"You don't need to apologize, we both know you always put the people your helping before yourself. I made it publicly known that if I die without any heirs, the crown will go to you." Amber stated
"Whoa, what about James? I thought he wanted to be king!" Sofia sputtered.
"He grew up, like Tilly he wants to be a knight going on adventures. I want you to be my successor, if I can't have children." Amber emphasized.
"What do you mean can't?" Sofia asked surprised.
"Oh, nothing. Don't worry about it." Amber bristled looking a bit uneasy.
"Amber..."
Amber sighed. "Fine, but let's go to your room. I do not want to be overheard."
Sofia nodded as the two sisters walked up to her room. Once inside, Amber sat on Sofias bed and sighed deeply.
"Whats going on Amber?"
"Sofia, just before my coronation, i wasn't feeling right. I summoned a doctor and told her to be secretive. I found a few hidden passages in and out of our castle." Amber began.
"So have I. Tilly gave me a book when I was little. It was before I found the Secret Library." Sofia nodded
"Anyway she came and left, no one saw her. I sent her a maid outfit so she could come in and out without being noticed." Amber blushed deep red.
"What did she tell you?" Sofia asked
"That I won't be able to ever have kids, Sofia. Thats why I named you my successor. I wanted to talk to you about it. But, you've been so busy with all your Protector assignments." Amber looked away.
