Chapter Four
The Old Song
╚══════════╝
❝Wondering is a terrible sin.❞
THE THREE MALES STARTED TO walk down the stairs to the Utility Shaft 9 entrance. To their luck, Henry found an axe that could help break any planks in the way. However, it would be very dangerous for Michael and William if the Searchers attacked while they're defenseless.
Once at the bottom of the stairs, they were met with a Bendy cardboard with a pentagram behind it. Walking further into the room, they saw a lot of bacon soup cans, bowls, candles, and a banjo. There was a shelf that has an audio recorder and a sentence written behind it.
He Will Set Us Free.
William frowned in disgust, "What the bloody hell is this? A summoning ritual?" He said, his eyes not leaving the cardboard since he felt something off about it. Henry sighed, "Kinda. Let's just say that some people have hope in the wrong person." He replied while massaging the back of his neck. Michael approached the audio recorder, "Let's see what this log has." He said before pressing the play button.
Voice of
Sammy Lawrence

He appears from the shadows to rain his sweet blessings upon me. The figure of ink that shines in the darkness. I see you, my savoir. I pray you hear me.
Those old songs, yes, I still sing them. For I know you are coming to save me. And I will be swept into your final loving embrace.
But, love requires sacrifice.
Can I get an amen?

"I said can I get an amen?"
Once the audio ended, a mysterious voice rang into the silent room. Both Michael and William looked around while Henry expected this to happen. "Where did this voice come from?" Mike asked while being on high alert in case something pops out of nowhere.
"This is Sammy, he's nearby. He used to be the Music Department Director."
The older Afton tsk-ed in annoyance, "He seems to follow a cult of some sort from the audio." William added with an eye-roll, remembering the Glitchtrap Cult that was created for him. Henry motioned for the father and son to follow him through the ink-flooded hallway, "He is just deceived. Sammy believes that Bendy can save him from this place, but I think Bendy himself doesn't know how." He explained in brief, breaking the wooden planks in front of him. Just then...
"Sheep sheep, it's time for sleep. Rest your head, it's time for bed."
An inky figure passed by the door ahead of them while holding a Bendy cardboard. The three of them stopped as the person disappeared from their sight. Henry scoffed and started to move, "Welp, this is Sammy." He said and walked out of the hallway with the Aftons.
There they could see a Bendy cardboard with another pentagram behind it, a shelf filled with bacon soup cans, and a closed gate. Henry walked toward the shelf and moved the cans away to press a button. He turned to his companions, "Wait for me here, I will be back." He didn't give them a chance to reply as he quickly ran back to the hallway.
William let out a sigh, "This will be a very difficult task, we're not even sure if Y/N is alive." He stated while pinching the bridge of his nose. Mike knew that this was stressing his father a lot, knowing that one of his kids may not be found. It was the weight of responsibility any father have, Michael just wished you told him soon about your job.
"I could say the same, but I have a feeling that Y/N is still alive. They're strong and won't give up easily."
When William looked at his elder son, he saw a faint smile on his lips. He was aware that Michael was just assuring him, yet it made him feel a bit relieved. Shortly later, Henry returned, "We can open the gate now." He said and walked to the gate, pulling the lever that has three yellow lights beside it. Once the gate was fully opened, they saw a door blocked by wooden planks. Henry didn't waste time and broke them with the axe, clearing the path for them.
After entering the door, they found themselves in the Music Department. The place made the Aftons feel ominous for some reason, they didn't trust those ink puddles on the ground. Before the father and son could fully enter the department, Henry stopped them, "You better stay here. After I restore power to the department, the Searchers will appear. You have no weapon, so I will deal with them." He stated with a very serious look.
"But what if you got hurt?" Michael asked.
"Don't worry, I have dealt with worse."
With that, Henry went to restore power while the other two waited for him behind the door. It didn't take long for the electricity to return to the department; however, ink creatures started to appear from the puddles. They didn't have any legs and were just crawling by using their hands, strange sounds coming from them.
Michael and William were speechless when they saw how terrifying those things are, "This is madness!" Michael whispered-yelled, hearing the sound of ink splattering and Henry groans. The only thought crossed their mind was what if you turned to one of those and they didn't know it was you. It frightened them to think that they might kill you accidentally.
A few more minutes later, a cartoony music started to play and Henry returned, looking more messy with ink. It was clear that he was getting tired, "It's clear, we can move." He declared, giving Mike and William the cue to entere the Music Department.
Unbeknown to them that someone was watching their every move.
"My lord will be pleased."
