Chapter 4

Brooke's father walked towards Peyton and gave her a hug and shook hands with Julian and Brooke gave Peyton and Haley a squeeze before she was holding hands with Julian. Peyton could feel Lucas's eyes on her and she couldn't help but blush. Peyton broke into tears as they were saying their vows and after their "i do's", the guests made their way to the reception.

The atmosphere was very cheerful and happy. Karen, Andy and Lily were there as well. Karen spotted Brooke and Peyton and quickly made her way to them.

"Brooke, I am so happy for you. I can't believe it, it feels like yesterday I was grounding you and giving you chores to do when you stayed in Lucas's room"

"Oh my god Karen, I missed you so much, where's broody? I still haven't seen him"

"He's right there" Karen pointed at Lucas who was laughing with Lindsay and Jamie. Peyton felt sad at that sight but got over it.

"Peyton Sawyer" Karen said.

"Karen Roe" Peyton blurted out with tears.

"How are you beautiful? I've missed you so much. I know this must be hard for you but I also know that you're the strongest person I know and you will face this".

"I'm ok, I guess, i'm with someone, his name is Nick and he's an amazing guy"

"That's wonderful Peyton, I'm so proud of you"

"Thanks Karen, it means a lot"

"LUCAS" Brooke shouted.

"Oh my god Brooke, come here" Lucas carried Brooke off of the ground and span her in the air. Brooke was laughing as he finally put her down.

"This is Lindsay my editor and girlfriend"

"Hi, I'm Brooke" They shook hands.

"This is Julian, my husband" Brooke said with excitement.

"I like the sound of that wife, nice to meet you both. Lucas i've heard so much about you" Julian said.

Lucas, Lindsay, Brooke, Julian, Haley, Nathan and almost every guest looked at Peyton as she laughed really loudly along with Karen and Nick. Lucas noticed the best man's arms around Peyton and his fists clenched.

"We better go, it's time for Peyton and Nick's speeches" Brooke said.

Lucas gave her a nod and sat back down with Lindsay.

"Hello, i'm Nick. Most of you here don't know me but me and Julian have been friends since we were kids. We have so much memories together and I can't believe he's finally found the one, his other half, his significant other and it just so happens that she is the beautiful, funny and childish Brooke Davis who i love and care about. Julian and Brooke are meant for each other, i couldn't think of anyone else being Julian's wife. And i am very grateful that he met her because she introduced me to an amazing, incredible, bossy woman who I love so thank you both for having such a huge impact in my life - i love you guys, lets here it for the newly wed" Everyone clapped and cheered and stood up, Brooke was already in tears. Julian had the goofiest and biggest smile on his face as Nick made his way down the stage Julian gave him the biggest hug.

"Brooke Penelope Davis, where do I even begin. You and I have been through so much together. I mean we've survived being with both Scott's (everyone chuckled at that comment) and psycho stalkers and shootings and you've been there along my side when my mum died and when Ellie died and when we both got attacked, you saved me, you are always here for me Brooke and it makes me so happy that you're happy and that you found love. Honey, when i think of everyone else out there in the world that goes through their life alone and i think of all the amazing years I've gotten to spend with my beautiful beautiful best friend Brooke Davis, i kinda feel sorry for everybody else." Peyton and Brooke were both in tears as she continued "The night you came to live with me in LA, you were really sad about the company, i remember i missed you so much that we kept talking till 6 am in the morning and ended up sleeping through out the day, I love you so much B. Davis. And Julian.. The day I met you I had this instant feeling that you were made to be with Brooke and you guys hit it off instantly and I'm so glad that you're her husband and i love you two so much. I can't wait to spoil your kids and i wish you a life time of happiness and love. Let's raise our glasses to the perfect couple". Brooke ran to Peyton and they both hugged each other crying. "Love you too P. Sawyer"

It was time for the first dance Brooke and Julian started it off. "P.Sawyer and Nick get your ass down here" Julian shouted. Peyton laughed as she locked arms with Nick and made her way to the dance floor. Lucas was seeing how happy she looked, her beautiful smile still made him smile and he felt his heart was aching with sadness as he saw her dance with another man. Brooke's father asked Julian if he could dance with Brooke and Julian went to dance with Peyton. "That was a really eloquent speech Peyton, who knew you could get so emotional" He said sarcastically.

"Oh shut up" Peyton replied smacking him in the shoulder playfully.

Nick made his way to Lucas, Lindsay, Nathan and Haley's table.

"Hey man that was a really nice speech" Nathan said as he shook hands with Nick, Haley agreed and she gave Nick a hug and a peck on the cheek.

"Hi, I am Nick, you must be Lucas"

"The one and only, this is my girlfriend Lindsay"

"Nice to meet you" Lindsay said as they shook hands.

Nathan and Haley got up to dance. It was quiet and awkward but the silence broke and Peyton made her way to the table. "I see you two have finally met, hey Lucas" she said smiling.

"Peyton" he said as he went in for a hug. Lindsay and Nick shared a sad smile.

"How are you?"

"I'm good, this is Lindsay my umm, my girlfriend"

Peyton and Lindsay exchanged smiles and shook hands.

"Well we better go, I want Nick to meet Skills" Peyton said and she grabbed Nick by the arm and dragged him. Lucas felt very jealous and he failed to hide it from Lindsay.
