Abena stretched out on her amidst her yawns as she hurried to the washroom to take her shower and prepare herself for her second day at the shop. She headed to Akua’s room to see if she needs a hand in preparing for school after which the went to join Papa and Maame who were seated already  waiting for them. Maame said a word of prayer for her family and gave them advice that could help them out for the day. Abena went to the kitchen to grab their packed lunch bags and shared it. Maame made tea with pie for Akua so she takes it in the car while on her way to school. Daddy zoomed off after Akua got on her seat whereas Maame and Abena head of to pick a bus. Since Abena and Maame didn’t take a breakfast from home Abena opted to go buy Waakye for both of them from her favourite Waakye vendor, to which Maame agreed. After settling in for a while, Abena set of with one of the workers to buy Waakye. This was the conversation between them:
Worker: Hey Abena, how was school?
Abena: Big sis, nothing new oo, just stress and a little fun here and there. In all I enjoyed my stay but home they say is always sweet, she smiles.
Worker: Which guy is disturbing my little princess?
Abena: A lot of them but I brother zone them before they can confess their love, she giggles.
Worker: Pretty smart, huh. I’m proud of you my girl. Remember a lot of people are looking up to you so always be the good girl we know you to be, I’ll always be here for you.
Abena: Thank you with a smile.
They quickly joined the queue as they anticipated for their turn and set of to the shop after they were served. Everyone enjoyed their meal after which they went back to their roles. Abena calculated the sales made yesterday and compared it to the money in the safe and entered her findings onto the computer. Walking with a pen in hand taking notes of the items that needs to be restocked was what Abena was doing most of the day and paused in between to have her lunch. At 4:30pm, they closed the shop and hurried home to make dinner. Abena helped Maame for a while and left to teach Akua her homework then later set the table for dinner with Akua’s assistance. Kwaku and his mom were having dinner when the latter asked of Abena. He told her what she had been up to and she smiled. Abena cleared the table after enjoying yam with garden egg stew with her family. She relaxed on the sofa with her legs crossed as she flipped through the channels. Akua started dozing of right after eating so Abena was pretty free  tonight. Getting fed up with flipping channels Abena left for her room, laid on her bed waiting for sleep to catch up with her.
