chapter 13- to impression

I adrien's pov I

I grunt while slowly getting up in tire and annoyance to the sound of my alarm.

I gently put Marinette aside and groan as I reach out for my phone to shut it.

Looking at it and finally seeing what the alarm said, I widened my eyes in panic.

Nine in the morning, we were literally supposed to wake up like two hours ago...

"Marinette! Wake up! " I shook her in a hurry and she shot up surprise.

"what, what is it? What time is it?" she asked.

"It's nine! We overslept the alarm! We have to go!" I said now getting off the bed and looking to pick up clothes to wear in a rush as Marinette widened her eyes in panic before getting off the bed.

"holy crap, we're so fricking late, omg this will not make a good impression, what's gonna be our excuse to him? Fuck, he'll see right through us, it doesn't matter what we tell him! We're two whole hours fricking late it's too obvious!" she rambled in panic as she frantically put's on deodorant and her outfit together while I brush my teeth.

She finishes putting on her outfit and runs to the bathroom while I walks past her to put on perfume, we lock eye contact from the passing moment.

"what is he going to think of us knowing that we were late, is that a bad impression on me as well?" she says before frantically grabbing her tooth brush putting toothpaste on it and brushing her teeth.

"I couldn't care less really and truly." I remarked causing her to roll her eyes.

She finished brushing her teeth and quickly rinses her mouth and toothbrush before resting it down and running to put on perfume and her shoes.

I quickly grabs my phone and hers and walks up to her waiting for her to finish put on her shoes.

I take the time to tell him that we were on our way when I see that he sent me a message stating that his flight was cancelled.

She has her shoes on and taps on my chest as she sees I'm focused on my phone.

"let's go!" she said and I stop her.

"Wait." I said and she stops her movement and looks at me confused.

"What?" she asks me in curiosity.

"he messaged me and hour after we went to bed that his flight got cancelled so we'll have to wait till tomorrow." I explained before looking at her.

She sighed in relief "what are the chances, oh my god, I was so worried." as she pants in relief.

I then see a notification from Instagram and click on it.

It's his profile announcing a delay in an upcoming fashion show he was about to hold in Paris.

I raise a brow before sucking my teeth and rolling my eyes.

So that's the real reason why he's returning, I should have known...

I scrolled down to see the previous post, he was actually holding a fashion show here indeed.

I sighed before looking at Marinette.

"Well... at least I'm given more time to prepare to actually meet him! And we'll be organized for sure!" she said with hope in her eyes.

I smiled at her "indeed, I just found out that he's returning because he was going to hold a fashion show here, he just announced his delay due to his flight on Instagram." 

She looks down in wonder. 

"a fashion show? I had no idea he was holding one..." she said in slight disappointment in which I noticed.
