"I have no idea what this pink stuff is!"...
"It was on the wall when I moved in! You think I brought it with me?!"
You held your phone in one hand while your other poked the wall with the pink ooze on it. You cringed feeling it's slightly slimy texture. You had tried everything to get it off the wall when you spotted it. You had taken down one of the basic pictures on the wall and saw a small pink blot behind it. You thought it was just a small sharpie mark but it then started to grow.
You sighed putting a finger to your forehead.
'This apartment was cheap for a reason I guess...'
You sighed heavily hearing your landlord on the other side accusing you of messing up the room yourself. "Dude! I just got my key three days ago!" You complained, you didn't mean to be rude but you weren't going to pay to remove something you didn't do. You sighed and began to walk to the bathroom holding your phone against your shoulder and washing the pink goo off in the water.
You winced feeling water drip below your skin into a small paper cut you never noticed.
You lifted up your finger and saw a small... pink heart on the top of it.
"Huh?"
You washed your hands again and dried them with a towel still listening to your landlord ramble. Your brows fell in frustration hearing him go on and on about how you destroyed his apartment.
"Well! I didn't do it okay! Just send someone to look at.... it?"
Walking back into the living room you tilted your head to see the pink substance on the wall gone. You walked to the wall and looked on the floor to see if any of the muck had fell.
It was completely gone.
You blinked while listening to your landlord yell at you to answer him. You cleared your throat and shook your head... late nights at the office were starting to catch up to you."Listen, ah sorry for bothering you. It was just a cockroach." You lied and hung up on the male before he could accuse you of bringing them with you.
You sighed holding your head as you continued to stare at the wall. You didn't have much time to ponder on it as you were already running pretty late for work. You quickly grabbed your purse and locked the door behind you turning off the lights. You rushed to your car and began to turn the keys. You sighed looking at your face in the review mirror. Your eyes were slightly bloodshot and bags were beginning to arrive.
You had worked fifty hours last week with overtime and planned on doing the same today. And you could only wonder if your constant overworking could have effected you into seeing that pink splotch on the wall.
No time to worry about that now! Time to slave away in your cubical!

"Girl! You haveeeee to come!"
Tabi begged you from outside your cubical as you typed away on your computer. "You know I can't! I have to finish these reports!" You said to her turning down the woman's party invitation. Tanna moved next to your desk with a frown twirling her blonde hair. "But we're having this party for YOU! Boss said he wanted to show you how much we all appreciate you!" Tanna said moving next to her sister holding a few portfolios she had to turn in.
"Aww tell him he's sweet."
"You're gonna tell him yourself because you're coming with us! You've been working nonstop for the past four months!" Tabi said her orange heels tapping and her hands on her hips. "I'm surprised you haven't gotten carpal tunnel by now!" Tanna spoke as she picked up your hand. Her shade of brown engulfing your own and getting it off the keyboard.
