With a deep breath, Sarah tries to keep calm and fight the regret of her decision that is trying to eat her away. A voice in her head tells her to turn around and go back home, something she can’t do now and she needs to see how she has failed her home. As she enters the throne room, she makes a bit of a spin, taking in the room. She never took the room in when she run the Labyrinth, she had been so focused on finding her brother.

Even back then, there had been action and life in the castle, now it was walking into a ghost castle and a shiver runs through her body. Throughout the 10 years of living down here, Sarah has seen that the castle and it’s inhabits have been living their life’s just like they had back in the days.

“Steady yourself my child, they are on their way.”

The voice of the spirit of the Labyrinth echoes in her head and Sarah takes in a deep breath, to control her raising heart. Placing herself in a comfortable position, she makes sure to keep her head held high and hearing someone walking towards the doors leading to the throne room. Closing her eyes, Sarah makes sure to take in one last deep breath before opening her eyes, just in time to see an angry looking Jareth slam the doors open.

“What is the meaning of this?”

Jareth asks, not even looking at Sarah and as he walks past her, heading for his throne, she can feel a coldness and a hollowness in the king. Seeing him properly for the first time in 10 years, she can see that something is wrong, this isn’t the man she knows.

“Your highness...”

Sarah starts to say, lowering her head in the progress, acting as someone who has respect for him but with how things are, she isn’t sure she has any for him. But she wasn’t able to say anymore than that when the door opens a second time.

Turning her head slightly to the side, her eyes lands on a Fea woman, who quickly moves towards Jareth and Sarah can both feel and she the darkness in this creature. Her dark hair was hanging down her back, and from where Sarah is standing, she can’t properly tell if her eyes are simply brown or if there is something else in them too.

“Jareth, my love. Why did you suddenly run away?”

The obvious fake happy tone of her voice makes Sarah shiver. How Jareth isn’t able to see right through the act makes Sarah’s worry grow larger and she can feel that she isn’t the only one. The Fea woman finally turns her attention towards Sarah and her eyes narrows, making Sarah glad that she decided to follow one of the spirits suggestions, even if at the time it sounded quite weird.

The spirit had produced a silver mask for her to wear and it took some time to get used to. The Spirits reason for this sudden addition to her disguise just added to the mystery that would become her new life, at least up until the point when she learns what is really going on. But seeing the look in the other Fea’s eyes as she looks at Sarah, she isn’t a fan of the mask. This makes Sarah happy for a reason she can’t fully understand, but she will accept it as a victory for now.

“Who is she?”

The woman asks, which makes Sarah roll her eyes as she decides that she can no longer bow towards this people. Standing up properly, she leans her head slightly to the side and with her chin tilted up, she knows fully well this is an invitation to a challenge, and younger her would have been scared about this and she will probably regret doing this later. But in this very moment, she wishes to see what the other woman would do.

“I don’t know yet, my love.”

Is the respond Jareth gives the woman, and Sarah can hear the same hollowness in his voice that he is sending out. The fact that he isn’t using the Fea woman’s name isn’t much of a help for Sarah. Neither the spirit nor her friends wanted to mention the name of the woman either, leaving Sarah in disadvantage of the situation, not that the other woman knows who she truly is either.
