It all happened so quickly.
Over the stretch of two days.
The first was you snapping. Your sanity fleeing and only returning now where you find yourself in a bright plane of existence. There is nothing but light for miles and miles.. Your human eyes could see nothing but light. Endless, endless light.
And this night was what deepened the wound and your body was anew, it was gone... but anew.
Upon your feminine features there lay white silk, it was a long white sheet, more than a dress but its ends were burdened with the blood of your victims and as you spun on the spot you painted their blood in streams and swooshes.
You couldn't understand where you were... Was it a dream? Was this part of Dream's revenge upon you?
And then a swirl of sand dribbled through the light above. Falling to his knees on the ground of light then standing confused and imbalanced as he looked around at his surroundings and then up at you.
<<Y/N... No, no, Y/N... No.>> Dream whispered, practically running to you and falling to his knees as he clung to your waist's clothes and tugging you tirelessly.
"W-what are you doing?! Dream, what's so wrong!?" You asked confused and alarmed, trying to find his fingers to cease their pull on you.
<<You.. don't remember?>> Dream asked.
"Remember what?" You asked puzzledly.
<<You d->> Dream began but was cut short when Death appeared in a long dark robe, tattered but beautiful as she towered over the both of you from far off in the blaring world of light.
<Brother. No, I shall take it from here. This is my Domain. You must leave.> Death said.
"No.. He stays!" You stepped in front of your traitorous lover.
<Y/N, it is the simple nature of things, you cannot take anyone with you, especially not my sibling.>
"Take them where?!" You asked exasperated.
<To the next stage. To where you are fated to live out your undying life.>
A pause of silence, Dream looking up at you with sadness and worry. Death looking at you with seriousness and bereft of emotion.
"You mean to say... I.. I died?" You asked, tears welling in your eyes.

It was no dream... It was no nightmare. It was Limbo. The place you go as God decides your fate.
Your decision was already made up, you wanted to be in Hell, with Lucifer, where you'd be able to continue to visit your Dream, you knew he was a traitor, you knew you were on bad terms right now but in time you would forgive him... And seeing as how he begged for you to still live was so loving that you remembered why you fell for him in the first place. It may have been built on lies but those lies were beautiful.
An even brighter light shone and two golden gates appeared.
"No.. I don't want to-" You said, a shaking hand rising to point at the gates tiredly and worriedly.
Dream stood behind you as Death took your hand and said, <No, you must. It is the way of things I'm afraid. No matter how far you run, you will return here, to your fated place of death.>
You were bawling and ripped your arm from Death, you threw your arms around Dream's neck and shoulders and cried into him.
Dream parted his lips and gasped out of shock and delight that you chose to hold onto him... May it be because Lucifer could not be here or not meant very little. He was still greatly pleaased and held you to him safely.
