"Sorry. I'm not looking for a serious partner at the moment," as he said those cruel response, the sky seemed to look darker and even gloomier than before.
Her world shattered, just like that, with just one response from that boy.
She stood there, frozen in place, not knowing how to accept that response. All this time, he gave her those chocolates, paper flowers, gifts, were that just another everyday game to you, Afiq?
"Alright, if you have nothing more to say, I'm gonna go now,"
"My girl is waiting, Marsya."That was his last sentence.
And yet again, life chose to test her again. After the divorce of her beloved parents, she tried and tried to not give up on life, despite having none of them being by her side, completely forgetting their role as a parent.
To give affection, to take care of their only child, protecting her from the harsh treatment of the reality, giving her guidance to the after-life, none of that anymore.
"Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by." [93:4]
The warm voice of her grandmother saying that ayat, comforted her fragile heart, more than anything.
Then there comes a shocking death of her grandmother, when she was only starting her teenage life, just another brutal test from God to her.
Her last words were,
"God does not burden any soul with more than it can bear." [2:286]It seems like grandma loves her grandchild so much that she even comforted her in her last breath. The 17-year old girl could only hug the grandmother as tight as she could, before parting away.
The loss of her only close friend after battling a long-term disease for almost 2.5 years, has taken so much life out of her. She was there when she felt like running away from home, for moral supports after the death of her grandmother, her only comfort place.
Now, it's gone.
Completely.
Forever.
"I guess, nothing I love will stay," she said to herself as she quietly let out a silent scream, too considerate that she doesn't want to bother her neighbours with her cries that night.
> That night, the piling pebbles of sorrow filled up her heart little by little.
