An archeologist begins to speak to the president.
"Long ago, a girl named Ymir gained the power of the titans.
After being forced to bear children and those children forced to have children, the main nine were formed. Which gave those who had the power of the nine to the ability to turn into a Titan **at will**.
Our history gets a little hazy after that point. But the main takeaway is that about 30% of the global population is a descendant of Ymir today. That's 30% of the world that *with the right trigger*, could turn into man eating monsters."
The president-"that is fairly troubling. I'm assuming the public doesn't know about this?"
Archeologist-"not in the slightest. Although the numbers of ancient historical material regarding subjects of Ymir outside of our custody is unknown."
President-"what about the nine and their descendants?"
Archeologist-"as far as we know there are several direct descendants, but none that can turn via how far back the lineage goes. If any of them DO turn for any reason, we will have to eventually kill them."
President-"why is that?"
Archeologist-"there are mentions in our textbooks of a Titan that had "royal blood". And because of that, gained the ability to turn others into titans when his Titan form roared.
We don't know how many descendants of the royal bloodline there are, but if one turns into a Titan we'll have to kill it. It could cause a domino effect of people turning into titans."
President-"...alright. Then it's settled. before that time comes, ill beef up our military to prepare for the attack"
