Loving Him

Chapter 24

After a long stressful week at work,Luna returned home,had some dinner,took her bath and went straight to bed.Laying down on her soft mattress,she recalled everything that happened during the week and couldn't help but sigh.

She helped Jeff out a little in planning for his wedding which could take place within a week's time and also became good friends with Ivan.

And when it comes to Jack,she didn't see him much around the hospital the entire week.It was as if he was avoiding her and even though she acted like she didn't care,it hurted her inside that he never came back to her after storming out of her office that day.She felt pained that he gave up on her so easily.

"It seems I really don't matter to you at all,Jack.You just saw me as a play thing after all",Luna said sadly as a tear slipped out of her eye.

Meanwhile,at a luxurious apartment,a handsome man sat in a chair in his bedroom holding a glass of alcohol while staring intensely at his bed remembering all the nights he spent enjoying himself with a certain brown haired vixen.

Bringing the glass to his lips,he took a sip of his drink before settling the glass down on the table next to him before standing up to move closer to his bed.He sat down and ran his hand through his hair before opening his night stand and bringing out a lovely picture of the woman who had been hunting his dreams for the past few days.

Looking at Luna's bright smile,Jackson couldn't help but smile.He had spent the last few days avoiding Luna cause he had overhead her conversation with Jeff that day he came by her office during their lunch break,when he went back with the intention of beating him up thinking he was Luna's new lover.

He heard Luna's side of the story and realized everything was just one big misunderstanding. He realized he had been so unjust to Luna when she had been nothing but loyal to him.She did nothing but love and accept him for who he is but he was the one who betrayed her by getting involved with Dorothy.

He felt like a jerk and couldn't bring himself to face Luna again out of guilt.He felt a man like him was unworthy of a woman like her.He felt completely unworthy of her love and all those feelings were so new to him cause no woman had ever made him feel that way before.

He needed time to himself to process everything and during that time,he realized he had some feelings for Luna even though he still couldn't forget Giana.He realized getting involved with Dorothy was a very huge mistake so he told her whatever they had was over.

Dorothy didn't take the new unexpected development well but he didn't care.He never cared for her like he somehow did for Luna from the beginning.She was basically nothing but a joy to him and he didn't want her anymore.

All he wanted was his sweet little Lu back even though he knew he screwed up big time and she doesn't want to come back to him.But he wasn't one to give up so easily.

Picking up his phone,Jack sent someone a text asking the person for a favor and ones the person agreed,he smirked with his eyes shinning mischievously.

"At any cost,you will be mine again,Lu",Jack murmured as a determined glint flashed before his eyes.

Back at a small hotel, Dorothy sat on her bed crying while looking at a picture of Jackson.She didn't understand why he broke things off with her and he refused to explain it to her.She had unintentionally grown quite attached to him and him breaking things off unexpectedly broke her heart.

She moved back to her old hotel shortly after and has been crying herself to sleep every night ever since.She didn't want to lose Jack and tried to get him back but he had been avoiding her and even threatened to get a restraining order against her if she didn't stay away from him.

Dorothy felt used an hurted.First, Leonard,the man of her dreams, married someone else after all she tried to get his attention then his younger brother played her for a fool and used her to satisfy his needs then dumb like she was nothing.She felt betrayed by the Grey brothers and vowed go get her revenge and the both of them at any cost.

Meanwhile at Leonard's mansion,Giana was getting bored of staying at home all day everyday and vegan bugging Leonard to let her return to work but the man stubbornly refused.He instead made arrangements so he could work from home and keep her company.

Giana was stunned by Leonard's behavior but also found it sweet.She smiled and thanked him for being such a good husband to her before giving him a sweet kiss.

As they both settled down to sleep, Leonard received a message from Jackson apologizing to him for trying to convert his wife and trying to cause problems in his marriage.He also apologized for trying to kill his own unborn nephew or niece.

Leonard felt this was just another one of Jackson's schemes and was about to ask him what he was playing at when he saw Jackson's next message which left him speechless.He blinked a few times and checked to see if it was really his younger brother before smiling with approval.

He replied Jackson saying he had his full support which made Jackson smile at the other end of the phone.He didn't think his brother would accept or even believe his apology but he knew his second message would surely get his attention.And he would definitely agree to support him.

"Now everything is in place,Lu.You will be mine very soon", Jackson smirked caressing a beautiful picture of Luna.

He then placed the picture down beside himself and drifted off to sleep hugging Luna's pillow which still had a hint of her sweet feminine scent.He really missed cuddling her to sleep but he consoled himself saying she would soon be in his arms ones again.
