POINT OF VIEW: DYLAN
Monday, October 24, 2028, around 10.30 A.M
After ensuring Greta was busy checking something on the shelves near the entrance, and after the last customer left the store, Dylan took out Voulos' box and handed it to Hephaestus.
"Where were you like someone selling illegal drugs?" Hephaestus raised his eyebrows.
"Consider I'm saving your energy to explain this Voulos to them."
"Greta won't care," Hephaestus said. "Anyway, how's the investigation?"
"Voulos managed to find the cause. And he also managed to fix it."
"What's the cause?" Hephaestus asked, at the same time he dragged Voulos' box towards him.
"Hmm ... Ah ... now I remember the name."
"The name?" Hephaestus tilted his head.
"Lethe ... ," Dylan said. "A sphere of Lethe was attached into Hera's brain."
"The sphere of Lethe?" Hephaestus was astonished, his voice got a bit louder. Fortunately, Greta was still busy with whatever she was doing, she did not even glance at Dylan and Hephaestus. This time by whispering, Hephaestus asked again, "How can a sphere of Lethe be attached into Hera's brain?"
"That I can't say. Hopefully after Hera wakes up, she will be able to explain why the sphere could be attached to her."
"I'm pretty sure they came in contact while they were already outside Kolaseos. Either they came out at the same time, or they came out at different times, but later crossed paths."
"Is it because while in Kolaseos, all of you were rendered powerless?"
"Yes," Hephaestus said. "Anyway, right now, our concern is to find Lethe as soon as possible."
"Hmm... I'm fully aware that we have to do that. But why do you make it sound so urgent?"
"If Lethe touches someone's forehead, that someone will instantly forget everything."
"What?!" Dylan responded incredulously. "We have to immediately find her now."
"Wow ... slow down," Hephaestus said, at the same time he shifted his attention to Greta. Dylan, who was made aware that his voice was loud, also glanced at her. Good thing was she was using an earphone, and she was moving up and down her head. Hephaestus looked back at Dylan and said, "Until now, there is no news about people inexplicably losing their memories. That's why I can safely assume that Lethe has not done anything to anyone yet."
"But we still have to find her immediately," Dylan whispered. "If Lethe ends up making so many people lose their memories, then there will be an unnecessary commotion."
"I realize that. That's why after Hera wakes up, you really have to ask her about Lethe. Hopefully she can have a clue on where Lethe was last seen."
"Okay, I will do that."
"Oh, by the way, you will have to observe whether there are some consequences after the sphere removal."
"Voulos also told us the same thing," Dylan said. "Will there be really an unwanted effect?"
"The possibility is quite high," Hephaestus said. "That's because once a sphere of Lethe has been attached to someone's brain, it is never meant to be removed again. Similar to the tiny objects soldered to a circuit board, they were actually not meant to be removed again. If they were removed, then we couldn't discount the possibility that there will be damage sooner or later."
