"Welcome back Vikings, today is a great day to pick up your school merchandise in front of the main office!" The monotonous morning announcements continued throughout the narrow halls of Windale High, as though anyone was actually listening to them. Every morning was the same within the small town that consumed everyone living within it. Windale was a grade B town, slow paced and not much happening. We were just your basic small suburban town.

The first bell rang causing commotion within the students. As everyone attempted to shuffle pass each other I placed my head on the cool locker in front of me.

Mondays were not my thing. I so badly just wanted to skip this moment to be at home watching basic reruns of whatever 90s sitcom that was on tv.

"You good there?" A voice stated, causing me to jump. I hadn't expected anyone to try and talk to me so early in the morning. Unsteadily, I picked my head up from the locker and fixed my eyes on the person in front of me. I recognized the boy from middle school but didn't remember his name. Rising a brow I blanked stated, "I'm fine, thanks."

As I grabbed my bag the boy asked, "Are you sure? To be frank you don't look fine."

Only slightly annoyed I said, "One, who uses that terminology? Two, why are you asking so many questions. Three, i'm fine."

"Asking me why I ask so many questions is like me asking you why are you wearing a stripped shit, just because. Also, I only asked because you look upset and it's only polite to help out a fellow Viking." He brought his hands to the top of his head to try and make out the shape of a Viking hat. I looked down at my thin stripped shirt and laughed, it was amusing how random a person could be.

"Well thank you for your concern," I paused, "Sir but I am doing just swell for a Monday morning." With that the second warning bell rang
