                                   Chapter 4 - Aftermath
(Lilac)

My best friend finally woke up, its been 3 months since i last talk to her, laughed with her, yelled at her for something stupid. When i saw her awake I couldn't help but jump on her, probably hurting her coma ridden body but i was too excited.

Then i yelled "YOU DUMB ASS BITCH, IF U WEREN'T IN A HOSPITAL I WOULD BEAT YOUR ASS" I was pissed at her for doing this, but I'm happy she's okay. She was drinking water that Derek had given her, when she choked i giggled a little. (Because, come on it was funny.) Then she said "Hi to you too Lilac" i just scowled. Cause how dare she just act like she wasn't in a coma for 3 months and had all of us worried. Her brother even came home, he would stay in her room all hours of the day.

When she finally got out the hospital, I couldn't handle her being out of my sight. The thought of her trying to finish the task. It sent nightmare images through my mind, when she was in a coma i kept replaying that moment in my mind. The moment i thought i would lose my best friend, my sister, my soulmate, my family. I would wake up crying in the middle of the night, because i was so close to losing her.

When we got to her house she said she was hungry, i was hesitant but she said that she wanted to make her own sandwich. She went into the kitchen, it  had been a few minutes. So i went in there and saw her holding a knife. I freaked and smacked her hand. "what the hell, lil i was just putting it in the sink. Calm down babes" she said softly. I hugged her and for the first time in a while i relaxed. I was scared but relieved that she was okay. For once i could believe that.

                                    (Amaya)
When we got home, i went to make a sandwich (A bitch was starving.) My arms still hurt a little so it took a while to make it. But of course when i went to put the knife away, Lilac came in and freaked. I understand why she reacted that way, shes scared ill leave her, scared of me doing something stupid. I feel bad that i made her act and feel that way, i was only thinking of myself. A few seconds later she let go and my mom came into the kitchen, she looked at me and teared up. I never meant to hurt everyone, i just don't know how to deal with my emotions regarding my own family.(crazy right)

My mother looked at me, and i could tell she didn't know what to say or that she was to scared to say what she thought. So i looked at her and she looked broken, scared and i was the cause of that. (That just didn't sit right.) My father was no where to be found when i woke up. But what surprised me was my brother being here, both Lilac and Derek were talking to him. I walked over to my mom and hugged her, I didn't know what else to do in this situation.

Everyone was scared, because of me. I had actively tried to kill myself in front my family. And now their scared to leave me alone. I never meant for this to happen, i thought I completed the task actually. My own mother cant look at me, without fear. My best friend cant stand to watch me hold a knife. Ive truly fucked up.

To make matters worst my birthday is in a week. My brother came up to me an, i just hugged him and he just rubbed my back. He told me i was okay. That what i needed, my older brother just hugging me is what i needed to the my guard down and just cry. He knew this, thats why hes the greatest brother of all time.

I laid down on the couch and fell asleep. I was as peaceful as that night. Until i was violently woken up by Lilac, she shook me and said "Tyler is knocking on the front door RIGHT NOW!!" I popped up and went to open the door, but Max got there first.
