And true enough to kong's prediction he wasnt at all ready for the curve balls arthit threw at him. First was the bouquet and next was him getting fired. Yes you heard it right! He was fired well was forced to resign. Everything had went back to normal after arthit left his apartment that day and kong thought arthit had forgotten about him and he was glad... okay no not that much somewhere a part of him wanted arthit to pursue him but that was just the irrational side of him as he said and chided himself. The thing that struck out was lack of contact from aim. It was like aim was avoiding him but why? And everything would have been fine except for the bouquet and the message it holds and if not for one day he walking into his office to find the ceo of the company standing in his cabin.

"Sir? What brings you here? How can i help you?" Kong asked overcoming his initial shock of finding his boss so early in his office.

"Mr sutthiluck we have some not very pleasant news for you" the boss said kong had a gut feeling that he was doomed because that was not how the ceo generally treated him but he nodded nonetheless in professionalism.

"We want you to quit" the ceo said with a remorseful face. Kong was torn between screaming good joke and laugh, or screame what kind of joke is this and cry but he did none.

"What do you mean? And why" kong asked not slipping his professionalism for a second.

the ceo sighed in desperation, sorrow, gultiness and pit.

"i shoud be the one to ask you that kongpob" the ceo said. the ceo was a nice man in his late 40's. he had known kong since kong's idea was picked up for their company and he had taken an instant liking for the polite and career oriented kid over these past years he had treated him like a son.

"what?" kong asked confused.

"mr rojnapat called me yesterday and threatened me if i dont fire you he will make investors pull out from our company and you know we cant stand that they are huge and the investors are all but a puppet of his." the ceo said sitting down on a chair looking down. kong felt like yelling and throwing a tantrum. but the ceo continued "you are a talented kid you will find job anywhere if you resign saying you want to explore a bit but firing will set a red mark on your profile. please dont force me to do that" and kong lost it.

"what do you mean 'sir' i have worked 4 years for you tirelessly and loyally helping you in so many project pardon my narcisstic self but your top product was designed, developed and modified by me and all you got is your good for nothing sorry?" kong's eyes were brimming with tears. phet, the ceo had anticipated this and he wasnt angry if he was on kng's face he would have probably gave a blow to his own face.

"i am sorry okay and as for your patent it will always be yours but as you have signed a deal you cant brand it or sell it to others but we will give 15 percent to the profit every month to you." phet said and kong sighed in frustration.

"you know what maybe its better i dont work for a coward like you" kong said he knows he was being pity or irrational but anger has taken the better of many and he is all but an ordinary person.

kong wrote a resignation letter right then and there and handed it to phet who accepted in reluctantly he never wanted that gem to go and morever when he had become family but this was about survival. phet wrote a huge bonus check to kong for all his work which kong declined but phet said he deserves it and its his apology so kong accepted it but didnt feel bad because screw it he deserves it. when kong gathered his stuff which wasnt much and was walking out he looked at phet who was still there and fidgeting.

"now what?" kong asked a bit irritated he will say sorry later.
