Jessie made herself go to work. She needed to focus on something other than the memories. Jessie made herself get lost in her tasks. Soon, it was time to go home. She did not want to go home. The house held nothing for her now. Rolling into a local bar, she sat on a bar stool and nurse a beer for a few hours.

"Jessie." A voice behind her, said her name. It was Dream. He had waited to see her at her house, but as the hours grew long, he began to worry. Matthew spotted her bike in the parking lot. Dream found her with her head down, chasing away bad memories.

"I remembered Orpheus's death." She spoke. A ripple of pain went across Dream's face. "Have you and Calliope been able to move pass and mourn him together?" She wanted to know.

"We have spoken recently. She was also imprisoned and used for her gift for a time." Dream shared, casting his eyes down. What happen to his ex-wife was horrible, he wished to punish the men responsible all over again.

"Oh God, she was..." Jessie put her hand over her mouth. The thought of what was done to Calliope was unspeakable. It turned Jessie's stomach. She ran from the bar and went to the bathroom to throw up. After she cleaned herself up, she returned to the bar where Dream still stood.

"Take me home." She whispered to him. How he longed to take her back to the dream realm where she truly belonged.

Dream watched her twisted and turn in her sleep. She had not come back to the dreaming since the first night. The memories kept her occupied. Dream knew that she would soon remember Jessamy's death. How will that affect her? He feared that she will not want any part of him. It was his fault that Jessamy died.
