After chase busted in saying that he was only my half brother, dad told me that I was at the age where I could change into a furry monster at any minute so I reluctantly went with him.
Mom hugged me good bye, but chase hid in his room and I got in the front his black ford truck.
"can I say goodbye to my friends?" I pleaded
he sighed looking worried not taking his eyes off the road ahead."No you are already smelling like a wolf, we have to go before any other wolves smell you."
"why?" I asked making a mad but confused face at the same time.
hes face flashed a bit of sadness"females are rare now only 3 out of 300 wolves, many of them get abducted because finding a mate is almost impossible." he explained
"whats a mate, if its not to stupid of a question?" I asked trying to change the subjected from abductions.
His face softened" its the person you were always meant to be with its not like the normal thing humans have if your mate dies you die too" he pointed out with honer.
"how nice you fall in love then die because the son of a bitch fell of a cliff" I joked.
dad laughed"yeah might as well chain him up then you'll be safe."
"dad do you have a mate?" I asked looking at the man who almost cried after I asked
"I had one but.... she was killed, before we could complete the mate bond." after that I didst ask anymore questions.
The ride after that was a bit awkward.
