Harry and Ron got up from their compartment as they felt the express stop. They walked out together, Hermione came over, and Harry forced a smile upon his face, he didn't want to ruin his friendship or rather relationship with Ron.Hermione smiled, "it's great to see you two again." Harry nearly blanched, he couldn't stand the fake happiness that Hermione was showing.
How had he not realised earlier? Harry felt ashamed of himself for letting such obvious tones in her voice making it evident that she was faking.
Though she probably knew that once Harry met Ron that he'd ignore any of her fake sides. Ron asked, "blimey Harry! Are you alright?"
Harry nodded, he couldn't break it to him the fact that Hermione was a fake friend and money thief. Ron immediately got the idea and decided he was going to ignore Hermione, as was Harry.
They walked out of the train and onto a carriage, he saw the Thestrals, he carefully petted their mane, not minding if everyone around him thought him insane.
Hermione tried to converse with them, but Ron and Harry ignored her. She was growing frustrated with them. She shouted, "if you two didn't want to be friends with me, you should've just told me."
Harry told her calmly, "good, then I don't have to worry about anything with you again. Honestly, I'm thinking I should ask if I can have a resort."
Ron looked at him, "if we can do that, then I want it too." Harry told him, "ok, let's get this sorted out."
Hermione's face turned red, clearly from anger that her friends are turning on her, but she doesn't realise that she turned her friends against herself.
She shouted, "you two are stuck with me! You can't just leave me!" Ron raised a brow, "are you certain, Granger? Or should I just call you a pathetic mudblood like Malfoy?"
She grew redder, she looked redder than the Weasley hair colour. When they made it to the castle school, Hermione stormed off on her own.
Harry and Ron were quick to find a professor, which happened to be Snape of all people. Harry mentally groaned as he thought out scenarios of what was going to happen.
Suddenly, he got a scent of a flower, one of which represents death and rebirth, the Spider Lily. He realised that meant Snape must be one of his mates.
Snape asked, "and pray tell why you aren't with the rest of the students, Potter, Weasley?" He seemed to snarl at the words Potter and Weasley.
Harry told him, "me and Ron would like a resorting." The black-haired professor sighed, "alright, I'll go tell the headmaster for you two, now off you go."
Harry told him, "thank you, professor!" Then quickly left, Snape couldn't find himself getting the thought of his student, the Potter spawn of all people out of his mind.
He knew he has to wait until he is of age, but he was slightly worried, his inherited species is known for their subs to be hard to control when they are in heat.
He knew his time for heat was coming, he worried about when it will occur. Harry and Ron went to the Great Hall, sitting down next to people they didn't know.
The first years were sorted, then Dumbledore announced Harry and Ron were being resorted. Dumbledore figured Harry and Ron would still be in Gryffindor, that it wouldn't change.
Oh, how wrong he was. Ron sat first, the hat placed on his head, it seemed to be getting his mind sorted out. The Sorting Hat shouted, "HUFFLEPUFF!"
Everyone was surprised that Ron got Hufflepuff. Next was Harry, and boy was Dumbledore nervous that he'd end up in a different house since Ron was actually changed.
The Sorting Hat looked pleased, "so, do you accept being in Slytherin this time?"
"Yes, please, get me out of Gryffindor."
"Alright, better be-"
"SLYTHERIN!!" This shook everyone. The Golden Boy? In Slytherin? Of all the houses he could be put in, it was like the world was ending!
Harry stood up and gave the Sorting Hat to Mcgonagall who was standing completely still like this news just shocked her as well.
Dumbledore's eyes were no longer twinkling, he couldn't believe it! Harry was supposed to stay in Gryffindor! Why didn't the damn hat listen to him?!
Harry sat in the first available seat at the Slytherin table. He was very grateful that he had an option. He saw the anger in Dumbledore's eyes.
He nodded, "he seems mad." Draco rolled his eyes, "convinced the sorting hat to give you Slytherin?" Harry told him calmly, "no, I didn't, this house was the one I was originally going to be in."
Pansy giggled, "you honestly think we're going to believe you? You may be a Slytherin, but you aren't fooling us."
Harry smirked, "then, let's do something, pull my arm as hard as you can." He raised his arm towards Pansy.
Theodore Nott was the one to pull his arm as Pansy was hesitant. He gasped as he saw the arm he pulled come off with strings falling off.
Draco turned visibly pale, Harry laughed, "got ya." Theodore muttered apologies to Harry, Harry just told him, "oh it's fine, you didn't know what was going to happen, I don't blame you. Also, Malfoy, can we please restart our relationship?"
Draco was very still and very pale, "Malfoy?" Blaise Zabini asked, "Draco, are you alright?" Draco moved slightly, his eyes gazing between Harry's and his now torn-off arm.
He felt the need to fix him, to make his body whole again. Draco abruptly snatched the arm out of Theodore's hands, quickly walking over to Harry's side.
Everyone was surprised by his actions, some were even appalled. Draco pulled out thread and a needle, "stay still, I need to fix this."
He pulled up Harry's sleeve where his arm should've been and began stitching back on the arm.
Harry for some reason felt comfort in this, he watched him, not realising the scent he was getting that represented Draco.
Draco finished stitching it back on, he patted Harry's back, "don't do that again." He left his seat, everyone was shocked that the boy would even help Harry stitch his arm back on.
