Veah P: "Baby!"

I turned around to see her run and hug Kobe

Kobe: "Wassup Baby, how you been?"
Veah P: "I can't call it forreal, this my friend-"

He put his hands behind his back looking at me, smiling hard

Kobe: "Aaliyah..."
Veah P: "Awl, so y'all met already"

"Yeah..we have"

I blushed looking down trying not to be attracted to his smile

Veah: "Um... okay I'll just be over there with Emanuel"

She walked away making me more nervous

Kobe: "Watchu so nervous for? You chillin?"
"Me? Nervous? Who said I was nervous"

Kobe: "My human instincts that's who, Babygirl you need to calm down"
"Sorry.."

Next thing we knew MyMy was on the mic

MyMy: "Whatitdo lil bros, what's the word cuzz. Its MyMy onna mic you already knowww!All da dancers get Inna middle and we finna hype y'all up so be ready"

Me and Kobe moved next to the center of the dance, the music came on and that's when everyone got turnt

"Wow, I didn't know they music was like this or they dance moves were so......unique"
Kobe: "This your first time in Milwaukee?"

"Yeah, actually. I'm from Brooklyn NY"
Kobe: "Mhmmm, well I'm from Philly so you know how that go"

"Is there any good food places here?"
Kobe: "Oh fasho, that got JJs, Wendy's, Fryerz etc"
"What's JJs?"

Kobe: "Uh-uh girl we gotta go, lets go"

He gripped my wrist gently and dragged me out the party into his car and made our way to "JJs"

JJS

Kobe: "They got fish, chicken-"
"Chicken please"
Kobe: "Ight, they got 4 piece or a 6 piece"

"A 4 piece"
Kobe: "I wanna get two chicken meals one 4 piece and the otha a 6 piece, and two mountain dews"

Cashier: "That will be $28.56"
He took out his money and started counting fast then gave it to the cashier

I gave Kobe a hug and smiled, he hugged back

"Thank you"
Kobe: "No problem, now carry the food and soda so we can get up outta here"

I started grabbing everything and he stared at me confused
Kobe: "Girl I was just playin ian neva let a woman carry stuff, give me this"

He snatched the stuff out of my hands gently and opened the door for me and we made our way back to the party

INFRONT OF THE PARTY

We started eating and I can't lie, the food was all that

"So, your with Veah?"
Kobe: "Yup"

"Where'd you meet her?"
Kobe: "I met her at uh, a block party actually"
"Oh okay, that's cool"

Kobe: "Yup, you seeing anyone? Besides that weirdo"
"Uh I used to date Tupac, but he started to be interested in someone else"

Kobe: "Damn...sorry bout that"
"Yeah, I haven't really had a lot of luck with men"

POW POW POW POW

Out of nowhere gun shots was heard from inside the party then shooter came out the house and started shooting people outside

"Oh shit! Drive off! Go! Go!"
Kobe: "Ight damn!"

He drove off fast as hell and looking around being cautious

Kobe: "See that? Cant even have a party without some shit goin down at any joint"

We rode down the streets seeing people stealing cars, people getting robbed, everyone walking around, coming out of food restaurants, gas stations, rough broke down houses

"Damn they live rough out here"
Kobe: "Fasho, Milwaukee broke. They ain't got much."

We pulled up to a place called Fryerz, I looked at him confused

"What we doin here?"
Kobe: "Aye listen ya boy is hungry Ight? Im still growin, come on"
"Fat ahh"

FRYERZ

Kobe: "Yo Papi! Think you can make me a cheese steak West Philly style? Ight cool lemme get that wit salt, pepper, ketchup, fried onions, matter fact man burn them joints man! You want sum Babygirl?"

"Nah I'm cool"

He got his food and we sat down, I watched him take the first bite then his facial expression looked amazed

Kobe: "Mm, damn okay. Aye yo, this joint crazy! Aye Pop you makin Philly real proud out here, you got family or sum down there"

I laughed then looked down and started playing with my nails, waiting for him to finish eating

Kobe: "You got family or sum friends down here?"
He said smacking with food in his mouth

"Uh yeah I know Emanuel, Veah, MyMy, Mar, Shamari, Hakeem and I think that's it"
Kobe: "Ight I see, you got connections"

"What about you though? Like I know your from West Philly what is it like down there"

Kobe: "It's home to me, played basketball in high school down there, I was famous too. Food was boomin allat"
"Sounds fun"

Kobe: "Fasho, how about you like ya moms and dad"
"Uh.. my mom she kinda I don't know and my dad is...I really don't wanna talk about that"

Kobe: "Ight, my bad. What high school you go to?"
"Zamira high School"

Kobe: "Aw okay okay, don't Veah and nem go there too?"
"Yup"

Kobe: "Celebrities go there? Shit I might go there to, but ian gon be there every day ya know"
"Yeah, I wanna see you hoop. You look like your really good at it but I've never seen you hoop"

Kobe: "Ight"

He wiped his face with a fresh napkin and rubbed his knees back and forth. I started laughing

Kobe: "What's funny?"
"Nothin, just reminded me of this video I saw. They said how black people show they full they start rubbing they knees"

Kobe: "Woooww okay, you gon do ya homeboy like that? Neverrrr. But Ight I'll show you a lil sum sum, shorty"
