Car Crash

Sam's Pov:

Colby: I'm going to get snacks from the store, I'll be right back love!

Colby shouts to me from the door.

Sam: Don't be long! You owe me cuddles and a movie!

I pout from the couch. Colby walks over to me and kisses my forehead.

Colby: I promise I'll be real quick

Sam:Okay

He walks out the door and I hear his car drive away. I snuggle up in a blanket, but still wanting my boyfriend's warmth. I go through Netflix to try and find anything good. I choose something and wait. 5 minutes becomes 10, 10 becomes 20, 20 becomes 35. I try to call him. I reach his voicemail. I text the gang to ask if any of them have heard from Colby and they say no. It's been an hour and now I'm really worried. I call Elton.

Sam: Elton?

Elton: Yeah, what's wrong Sam?

Sam: Colby has been gone for an hour and a half now and he hasn't answered his phone!

I'm close to breaking down.

Elton: Hey, hey let's take a few slow deep breaths.

I get control of my breathing.

Elton: I'm done with the video so I'll head back home and we'll figure it out, ok?

Sam:Okay, see you soon.

Elton: see you soon Sam

I hang up the phone and wait. I hear the door knob jiggle open not too long afterwards.

Elton:Sam?

Elton calls out.

Sam: I'm in the living room!

He walks through the doorway and sits down on the couch next to me.

Elton:Has he still not replied?

I shake my head no. Tears well up in my eyes.

Elton: Hey, I'm sure he's fine.

My phone starts ringing loudly, making us both jump. The caller I.D says LA Hospital and I immediately pick it up.

Female voice: Hello this is Dr. Markus, is this Samuel Golbach?

Sam: Yes this is him. Why are you calling?

Dr.Markus: I'm calling because you are put as Cole Brock's emergency contact. Cole was in a car accident and is at the hospital.

Sam:Oh my God! Is he going to be ok?

Dr. Markus: I don't know he is about to go into surgery.

Sam: Which hospital?

Dr. Markus: The one on green street.

Sam: Got it. I'll be right over, thank you!

Dr. Markus: No problem!

The call ends. I jump up startling Elton and start looking for my keys. Hot tears well up in my eyes and slowly run down my face.

Elton:Sam what's going on?

Sam: Colby was in a car crash, he's about to go into surgery.

Elton pops up, fear, concern, and a little bit of anger. I gather all of my things and we rush out the door. I allow Elton to take the driver seat because he's a much faster driver.

Elton: Call one of the roommates because we were supposed to all go out for some fun stuff then dinner but you called me so I just said I had already planned something with you so they didn't freak out.
