smoke and mirrors

Lightning strikes through the sky. Rain pelts the ground as thunder shakes the house. Jaehyun was sitting up in the dark. His feet pulled to his chest. His mind must wanted to run wild.

He looks to the side to see Johnny's body hogging most of the bed. Jaehyun was so scared but he didn't want to waste any more of his breath. He loves Johnny so much but he remembers when he was the last thing on Johnny's mind.

Johnny wants him now, but will he grow tired again and leave once more? Jaehyun wanted to fall but the last time he did Johnny caught him before dropping him the rest of the way.

His phone lights up instantly catching his attention. He reached over and unplugged his phone while reading the text.

Kookie: R au awake?

🍑: yeah, y?

Kookie: come to the door then.

Jaehyun looks at the clock. It's ficking two in the morning. Who in the hell comes to someone's house this late in the night?

🍑: ok.

Jaehyun carefully slid out of bed. He glides down the stairs to the front door. Not bothering to check the peephole he pulls the door open. "Kookie what are doing here so late?"

Jungkook who was soaked showed his toothy smile, "I just. just. I just lost everything."

Jaehyun quickly brought the males into his house. "Stay here I'm going to get you some clean clothes and then we can talk if you want."

With that, the brunette runs around the house gathering warm clothes. He runs a warm bath in their guest room. "Here's some clothes for you."

Jaehyun gently hands jungkook the clothes. "You can take a bath and I will have something warm for you to drink."

Jungkook nods his head. He walked into the bathroom and closed the door.

Jaehyun almost forgot about Johnny, he prayed that he didn't awaken that monster while he was running around like a maniac.

It didn't take long before both of the males were cuddling on the guest bed. "So what happened?" Jaehyun inquires while pushing his fingers through Jungkook's hair.

"I lost everything. There was a mix-up. My partner saw a picture of us together and she lost her mind. She told everyone I was close to knowing how my family and her family felt about the community. Now no one wants to talk to me."

Jaehyun frowns. "Jungkook I'm so sorry that happened to you. Is there anything I can do?"

Jungkook looks at jaehyun. His eyes are filled with thousands of little twinkling stars. "You can just be here with me. I am just someone who would listen."

(Flashback)

"I just need someone who will listen to me!"

Johnny smiles, "jaehyun I am listening to you. Now do you want to go out to dinner?"

(End)

"Yeah, I understand." Jaehyun pulls jungkook closer. Before they knew it they had fallen asleep.

The next day

Yuta slams the knife down. "What is it?" He looked over his shoulder when he sensed someone behind him.

"How did you know..." Ten looks perplexed. "I just stepped in the room how did you know it was me?"

"No offense ten but you're the only male I know that wears Ellen Tracy." Yuta wipes his hands off. "So what do you want?"

Ten walks closer to the Japanese. "Yuta what if I told you that this is a whole scheme for us to all be put in prison."

"What is a scheme?" Now intrigued yuta folds his arms over his plaid shirt and slim waist.

Ten pulls out a paper. "I put these pieces together and I think it makes just a little sense." Ten starts to read the paper.

"First was Jackson's death which turned out to not be him but a twin that we didn't even know existed. Then Jian pops up out of nowhere trying to take revenge. Then there were the wangs coming back, and lastly, jaehyun was kidnapped."

Yuta shrugs his shoulders, "What does this mean ten?"

Ten scratches his nape. "Well, I think that the only reason why all of this happened to you guys is because there's a big bidding involved. I think everything that happened was far too close of a call to call it a coincidence that y'all made it."

"What are you talking about?"

"Example, you."

Yuta points to himself. "Me?"

"Yeah, you. You see Jian didn't want to kill you not because he just didn't have the will to do it but I feel like it is because killing you would ruin a greater plan that we can't hack because everything and everyone is doing what they are supposed to do."

"Like Jaehyun and his parents. They were meant to be arrested." The gears started to turn in Yuta's head. "They are coming after all of us because we are the richest."

Ten walks closer to Yuta. "Yuta think deeper. Maybe there is an absolute reason that we are not thinking of, maybe our money is in the way."

Yuta started to think further back. in his life. Then it hit him, "I know we burned Jackson's twin but what if the other twist has something to do with...."

"Yuta it is the party. All three of you played hide and seek at the party. Because you weren't in the room then everything went to shit. Why do you think that is?"

"I was the distraction. I would have been the cause of the successful site..."

"Damn yuta. I'm just going to tell you that Johnny is not the nice guy you think he is, and neither is Baekhyun. They both hung out with Jackson and they all had the same disgusting goals. Get rich, be a beast, and kill everyone and everything that stops them from being the happiest."

Yuta was so confused. "Ten I'm not understanding."

"Johnny killed Joey, not only that but he was the moll for every family. He is the game and he makes the fucking rules."

Yuta looks into the distance to see Taeyong standing at the door. "He is telling the truth. I looked into it. All of the times that Baekhyun left were all the times that Johnny would be gone for days at a time. Also, there's no way Johnny couldn't see Jackson in his house fucking with jaehyun when his house is more cameras than anything else."

Yuta's mouth dropped open. "He fucking got us. Wait doesn't that mean jaehyun is in trouble?"

Ten nods his head. "His time is over."
