SULLYOON'S POV
"Well losers, too bad. I'm getting out of this place." Haewon tightened her hold on the phone.
"Mom, aren't we your kids? Why would you just abandon us while this catastrophe is happening?" Haewon retaliated.
"Oh, I gotta tell Yoona and you something." Yoona was motioned by Haewon to get closer to the phone.
"What is it?" Haewon retorted in an irritated tone.
"Haewon and Yoona... Both of you are adopted. K bye!" Mom said before ending the call.
For a while, Yoona and Haewon were silent.
I got a little worried and asked, "What did she say?"
"She told us that we're adopted." While focused on the phone, Haewon spoke. She made her hold even tighter.
In shock, I gaped my mouth open. This woman is definitely insane.
Lily remained still. She clearly wanted to say something, but it wouldn't come out. She reddened and her brows furrowed.
"That fucking- We should have thrown her out sooner. LOOK WHO LEFT US NOW!" Lily screamed. Haewon flinched at the sudden outburst.
"There's no hope left," Yoona murmured as she squatted to take a seat on the sidewalk. She hid her face while bringing her knees closer to her chest. Shortly after, I overheard her sniffling. My heart was wrenched. Yoona crying was a rare sight to me.
"It's fine, Yoona. We'll figure something out, okay?" I knelt to her level and wrapped my arms around her. I held her close and kissed her head.
"Yoona, stop being such a crybaby. This is life; accept it." Haewon said. Lily smacked Haewon on the shoulder.
Yoona stopped sniffling. "Haewon, don't act like you're not falling apart on the inside as well."
"At the very least, I'm good at hiding it." Haewon retorted.
Yoona rose to her feet and faced Haewon. "What's the matter with you? Why do you have to argue with me all the time?!"
"I'm only trying to help!" Haewon screamed.
"You're not much help, Haewon. You're putting even more pressure on me." Yoona screamed.
"Ugh! Why can't you just be grateful for what I'm doing for you?!" Yoona was pushed on the shoulder by Haewon. Yoona tripped and landed on the rocky cement.
Lily restrained Haewon. "Haewon! Stop!"
I knelt quickly, attempting to help Yoona up. Her palms were badly scratched and bleeding. I gasped. Haewon walked away, huffing. Yoona sulked as she sat up and crossed her arms. I turned to face Lily, who was staring at me in disbelief.
"I'm so done with you both," I sighed.
"You go to Haewon, Lily. I'll be right here." I told Lily. Lily responded with a nod.

Lily brought Haewon after what seemed like an eternity of trying to calm Yoona down.
"Go on," Lily and I said to the sisters.
The sisters engulfed each other in a tight hug.
"I'm sorry, Haewon!" Yoona cried.
"I'm sorry too!" Haewon responded.
Next thing you know, they both start crying. I gently slapped my forehead. Lily smiled when she saw my reaction.
"Haewon?"
"Yeah?"
"I'm starving."
"Me too." Haewon sniffled.
Mind you, those two are conversing while crying and hugging each other.
"Can you two please stop crying and find a convenience store or something?" I said. The sisters rubbed their eyes and loosened the hug.
