I.. I've really fallen hard for her, haven't I?

As we finished, I went ahead and cleaned up the take out boxes. Annie told me that she'll take a quick shower then went upstairs.

Few minutes later, I had finished washing the dishes then went to turn off the TV. Going upstairs, I heard Annie in the bathroom talking to herself again. It was Something about the vr game but I didn't pay much attention and walked right by.

As I got into her room, I plopped down into her bed and breathed out a sigh. I couldn't get what happened earlier out of my head. She's liked me for over 2 year now, and never told me?

I pulled out my phone, finding a way to distract myself. I was greeted to at least 30 missed calls and 50+ messages from my parents.

At this point it was getting annoying and had to put my phone on silent for most of the time. I wanted to block their numbers, but I could need it for when an emergency happens.

I've tried messaging y/b/n, checking up on him from time to time, but he had already blocked me a week after the incident.

I'm not going to lie, I do feel guilty for what he had been feeling, but I would never forgive him for what he'd done to Annie.

Scrolling through the messaging app, I heard a knock at the door. Annie came in the room, a towel wrapped around her head.

She then turned to me with a smug look and said "I didn't forget to knock this time." I looked at her unamused, then she sat beside be curiously.

"What'cha doing?"

"Oh uh.. I was just looking at my messages."

"Your parents still bothering you?"

"Yeah.. This time they're bribing me to go back home. As if money can bring me back"

Annie looked a bit saddened by that info, she then asked. "Why don't you just block their number?"

"I honestly am tempted and want to. But it's better to be safe incase an emergency happens and I can't call you."

"Reasonable. Any news on y/b/n? "

the feeling of guilt rushed through my back as my expression of annoyance turned into a sad one.

"well.. Not really. I haven't been able to check up on him ever since he blocked me. Why'd you ask?"

She looked at me, looking like she'd been guilty of hiding something.

"I.. A few days ago, I woke up in the middle of the night to you seeming to be having a nightmare. You were talking about y/b/n and how you and your parents ruined his life.. What exactly happened in that dream? If it was just a dream.."

"You.. I.."

Tears started to well up as I remembered what happened that night. Annie looked at me empathetically and tried to comfort me.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have brought that up. I won't force you to tell me anything. It's not my place to know anyway.. I'm sorry"

I had started silently sobbing, leaning onto her. Meanwhile she tried her best in comforting me, looking guilty for making me cry.

A few minutes later, I picked up the courage to speak.

"I.. We.. We should have treated him better...
