The High Lord had just referred to me as he. Him. I felt like I could destroy an army with the pure happiness of it.

I don't think he'd ever know how much that meant to me.

Cassian looped an arm around my shoulders and pulled me closer. "This is Calix. And the baby's Butterfly."

Rhys squinted suspiciously at Cassian and the his eyes widened.

"Oh."

I felt like they all knew something I didn't. I didn't like that.

"Oh what? What don't I know?"

I turned to look at Cassian about to question him more, when Butterfly started crying.

I sighed, "I'm gonna go calm him down, then your gonna tell me whatever the f*** happened here, got it?"

Cassian nodded.

"Good."

I walked away, gently rocking Butterfly as I went. I ended up at a balcony. I held Butterfly close to my chest, swaying and hummed.

I stayed there until he fell asleep again.

I took a deep breath and walked inside. I obviously got lost because there are so many f***ing doors, f***ing everywhere.

Rich motherf***ers.

When I finally found them, they all looked so relaxed.

Morrigan was draped over the couch, glass of wine in hand, Azriel was knocking back a shot, a small female swirled a goblet of blood and glared at everyone, Rhysand was chatting to Cassian and Azriel. And then there was Cassian.

Cassian looked like a f***ing god. His top buttons were undone, his hair was still messy from sleep, he threw his head back and laughed at something Rhysand said. He looked beautiful. Ethereal.

Cassian looked up and noticed him, grinning.

"Calix! Rhys thinks I'm lying, I told him that you can speak a different language, can you do it again? For me?"

Cassian looked so. . . Adorable, like that.

"Φυσικά αγάπη μου."

The unknown females head flicked up, brows raised. Rhysand looked surprised and Cassian grinned up at him.

"See, Rhys! I wasn't lying!"

I laughed at his antic and sat down next to him. He crawled over and set his head in my lap. I ran my fingers through it and the others looked on in shock. Seems Cassian wasn't normally like this.

They all quickly went back to talking, Morrigan now bouncing Butterfly on her knee, Cassian still in his lap.

Cassian sighed and sat up. I was about to question why when he properly sat on my lap and I wrapped my arms around his waist, resting my head on his shoulder.

Amren, who was revealed to be the name of the unknown female, looked straight at me. "What are you, boy?"

"A little b****." I replied.

"You're not High Fae, you're not Illyrian -the remnants of your wings show that-, you're not any other type of lesser Fae. So, what are you?"

"Why do you ask, bellator?"

"There is only one species who speaks that language and you know what I am. I'm simply confirming a suspicion."

"Well, confirm it another day. I'm tired as f***."

"Same." Cassian sighed.

"Come on, αγάπη μου."

Cassian dragged me somewhere, presumably his room, and we collapsed on the bed. He got comfortable, laying his head in my chest and his arms around my waist.

We fell asleep together, completely at peace with each other.

"I love you." I whispered into his hair, not even realising that he was still awake and very aware of me.
