Both Evelyn and Emily made their way to the castle, in hopes to avoid her father. They managed to navigate the halls that were made for you to get lost, till she heard the voice of her father and some mixed languages of clicks and purrs, along with a much more sophisticated translator. Focusing on the noise, there seemed to be more than one. There were many other translators in different tones, but still spoke in the same synthetic mannerism.

Both Evelyn and Emily gave each other a puzzled look after hearing those voices, and began to wonder where the guests came from. The door was barely closed, as the gap was big enough for a mere insect to fit through, she knew that no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't walk past without being seen. She glanced at Emily, to see if she could get a better look through the opening, all the while Evelyn hid behind the door. Emily peeked through, seeing Evelyn's father, the king, was sitting at the end of the dining hall, with his advisor, Sildar, sitting right next to him.

Just as Emily had her head peeking through, Evelyn accidentally nudged the door, making it squeak. Their mutters became silent, till her Father spoke. "If you wish to join in the conversation, you may enter. It displeases me that you eavesdrop on our meeting, my daughter." Evelyn's heart dropped, it was the first time he spoke to her. She went to take a step forward, only for Emily to stop her. "No, let me go in. I need to speak with him privately anyway." "But-" She tried to speak, only for Emily to cut her off again. "Trust me Evelyn.." Evelyn sighed with a sorrowful look on her face. "Ok, I shall be in my room. I await your return..." She turned and walked away, hearing Emily open the door.

As Emily entered, she replied, bowing her head, "Sorry your majesty, I didn't mean to eavesdrop on your conversation..." Emily looked up to see unknown creatures. She froze from their intimidating gaze, as they were examining her. "Is this the princess you speak of?" One of them questioned. "So that's what we heard.." Emily whispered to herself.

With a displeased look on his face, he spoke in a monotone voice. "No, this is her maid. She is not of importance." Emily kept her head down, not daring to look at him or those creatures in a weird way. The same creature began to question. "Then, where is this princess you spoke so highly of? Her coronation is tomorrow? Correct?" The King nodded his head, "Yes." Emily began to have a bad feeling. She peaked her head to look at the king lifting his drink, just before his lips pressed against his cup, he added. "And the wedding will be within 2 weeks time, your son shall get to know her beforehand." Emily was dumbfounded. "Agreed, we shall attend the ceremony as planned." The creature added. As they finished their conversation, they got out of their seats and exited the room first. The king scowled, while tilting his head to the side. "What is it you wanted to ask of me?" He glared. Emily couldn't do anything, so she stood there with her head down. "It can wait till the ceremony, it wasn't of importance." was all she could say, before walking out of the room.

She could still feel his gaze following her as she walked out the door. Emily walked in the direction of the princesses' resting chambers. Emily's walk quickly became speed walking, then slowly increased in speed. Before she knew it, she began to run like her life depended on it. All Emily could think of was Evelyn. She ran into the queens memorial chambers, where a statue of her was portrayed. The remembrance of the late queen. "What do I do Queen Elenora, King Daniel plans on marrying off Evelyn to these creatures!! What should I do?" She cried, while burrowing her head into her hands, curled up into a ball beside her statue.

I waited in my room for her return. It seemed like hours had gone by, which caused me to worry. I didn't want to think anything bad happened to her, and I have to trust her judgement. But it was getting to me, I couldn't stand it any longer. I left my room in my nightgown, heading for the courtyard to get some fresh air. The cool breeze eased my nerves as I began to sing my mothers lullaby.
