chapter 1

"hey mom, here's your medicine." I say handing her the paper bag that's a little crumpled due to my anxiousness about this 'calum' boy.

I go to upstairs and currently it's 3:57 which means 3 minutes until the play the reruns of 'friends' on tv.

after about 15 minutes I here a beep on my bedside table. a text from 'cal pal:)'.

calum: hey !!

me: why so happy ?

calum: I don't know... so have you decided...?

me: yea I'll bring my friend alex

calum: ok cool :) *adress* see you in 2 hours lovely

me: oh gosh

I really didn't know if alex was free but all I could do was hope for the best. I decided on calling her.

"hey are you free tonite I'm taking you to a concert."

"yea what time?" she questioned

"2 hours."

"yep that's decent gives me enough time to get in a meal."

"I'm coming over now 'cause I have nothing to do."

"ok... and by any chance do you happen to know what concert we're going to?" that's when it clicked, I hadn't even asked him the name of his band.

"erm no." I said quite skeptically.

"oh well we can just look at this as an adventure." there's the Alex I know always up for anything.

"ok well I know one of the band members so I'm not completely lost."

"please enlighten me I can look him up."

"wait no I'll just come over and we can creep on him together." I heard her laugh on the other end of the line.

"ok anna and at least bring me food you woke me up from a much needed nap." I could hear her pout on the other side of the line.

it took me about 10 minutes to get to her house plus picking up food which took another 5. when I opened the door her mom was standing in the door frame ready to greet me.

"hey mom." I said

"hey other daughter that's more respectful than my actual one."

"mom that's not gonna get me to clean my room so stop trying." I heard alex say as she walked down the stairs. "oh and I see you came through and brought me food. well today just got one-hundred times better."

"mrs. mann is it ok if I take Alex to a concert tonite, I actually know one of the bandmates and he invited me." i asked giving her my charming smile.

"of course sweetie just no drinking, smoking, and doing 'it' okay?" her mom said putting air quotes around 'it'.

"okay yea sure." I replied. "now c'mon alex we have to get you dolled up." I said pulling her upstairs while she held her food.

after fighting me about how dresses look nice on her she decided on jeans and an ACDC shirt. we arrived to a big arena, which to my surprise, didn't have people in it. I parked my car in the closest spot, because c'mon I'm a lazy person, and walked up the steps. I didn't see Calum when we got there so I decided on texting him.

me: I'm hereeee

calum: you're early

me: oops...

calum: are you in the front?

me: yea

calum: ok I'll b there in a jiffy

me: nobody says that...

calum: ...

we waited outside for him, then he finally poked his head out of the entrance door.

"hello ladies." he said in a posh accent.

"ok fuckboy much?" she whispered in my ear.

"yea kind of," I whispered back, "hey calum this is alex," I pointed at alex, "and alex this is calum," I pointed at calum.

"nice to meet yo-" he tried to say but was interrupted

"yea yea blah nice to meet you. do you have any cute friends?" she interjected.

"you're straight forward... I like that. and I wouldn't call them cute but that's up to you."

"then what are we waiting for lets go!" she pushed pass calum and started running.

"wrong way!" he yelled at her causing her to turn around and run the other way. "just keep running that way and you'll see and door just knock on it!" he yelled at her in which she returned a thumbs up. we just kept walking only seeing her fade away sort of.

"so does your band actually have a name?" I asked.

"yea Michael made the name, but you have to know the story behind why we call our band this," I nodded in approval, "so it was the end of the summer and we had been in the band for a while now not knowing what to call ourselves. Michael said it felt like we had '5 seconds of summer' left so we just called ourselves 5 seconds of summer." that's when it clicked, he had looked familiar but I didn't know how. I'm guessing not to scare them away I would have to pretend not know that one song.

"boys are so weird. so who's this other band you're opening for?"

"you won't freak out will you?" he was asking for reassurance.

"no I don't have an obsession with boy bands... or a little sister."

"we open for One Direction."

"that's what make you beautiful!" I screamed making him howl in laughter.

"you do know that song is like 4 years old right?" he asked me.

"wait they've made more music? ok I'm really behind." he laughed at me which was completely cute so I laughed back.

"yea they'll be hanging with us before the concert and most likely with you while we're on." he explained.

"this is probably every fan girls dream."

"I don't see why they like us so much, we're literally high school dropouts playing music."

"I guess it's cause you're so charmingly handsome." I winked and he chuckled.

we approached a room which I assume was the one he told alex about.

"ok let me warn you, it might either be really loud or messy or both. and they'll most likely make fun of us cause in their mind we're 'dating' but we've only known each other for like 5 hours." he was nervous which was really cute. I just gave him an ok and we walked in...

//guess who's back ( back back ) back again ( gain gain ) maddy's back ( back back ) tell a friend ( friend friend ). hi beautiful people of the Internet ( Lauren Elisabeth ) I changed this probably 4 times but I kinda like it now. I have 1 more day of school then 3 days of exams but after that I'll update every 3 days ( unless grounded which happens a lot ) turnup!!
