sorry if my grammar is bad, i'm not feeling it... not like anyone should be reading this anyways...
You and Rowen are sitting on the bed, blanket covering both your legs.
Rowen has their head resting on your chest as you use one of your hands to pet their hair, the other holding their hand.
You both sit there in comfortable silence. The only sounds audible being the soft air blowing from your noses.
You wrap your arms around Rowen and pull them into you, leaning your body over them and placing your head in their neck, kissing them; you hear a soft purr as reply.
"I love you, Rowen, I love you a lot." You whisper in their ear. You can feel them slightly shudder from your whispers tickling their ears, but they smile and gently rub their head against yours.
"I love you too," they place their hands on yours. "I'm so glad you're here with me..."
You kiss their neck softly again. "Of course~ I'll never leave your side."
Rowen sighs and rests their head back and you let yourself fall back, still holding them, to lay against the bed frame. You let go of Rowen as they flip themself over to face you. They lay on your belly and look up at you with daunted eyes. "Is that really true though... You can't promise something like that... especially when you know it's not true... You'll leave me eventually, I know you will, it always happens, it never hasn't happened..."
You look down at them, studying their sad eyes and face as you think... "Sure... Maybe I won't truly be here forever and I know that's hard to have to think about and deal with... but it's just how life goes, I don't want to leave you though, I promise I never will want to leave you..." You sigh and turn your head away from them. "Growing apart is a part of life... but I want you to know that I will always love you and I will forever cherish my memories with you... because... I love you... and I can't imagine how my life would've been without you..." You drop your head to touch foreheads with Rowen. "I'll love you no matter what, Rowen..."
You can hear stifled crying and feel Rowen's body shake. "It-It's not f-fair... W-why... W-why d-does life ha-ve to b-be like th-this... It's- I-It's n-not like I even a-asked to b-be here! Why d-does this e-ev-even h-happen? What ha-happened b-between h-here and when we fall apart to where t-this ends?!"
You pull Rowen up so that their head is on your shoulder, you hug them tightly as they cry and pet their back comfortingly.
You sit there silently as their crying and sharp gasps while calming down. You feel their body start to relax on yours as exhaustion from their emotions and crying forces them into slumber...
You lay yourself down carefully and follow Rowen into sleep...
