i felt my phone buzz in my pocket and i pulled it out to see "@CORPSE followed you back!" and i thought i'd collapse.

"rae," i gasped, "no fucking way."

i showed her my phone and her jaw dropped open.

"see! i told you!"

moments later i saw a dm come in from him.

i added his number to my phone and read all the messages aloud to rae. she was giddy with excitement and kept telling me "i told you so."

"do i like, wait? i don't want him to think i'm obsessing over this." i panicked.

"luna, my dear, message the poor man. he reached out to you and he would not have if he didn't seriously want to work with you."

i nodded in agreement and went into my texts.

before playing them aloud to get my ideas in line, i asked rae if she had heard what was sent to me. i didn't want to play something she didn't know of and spoil anything. she scrolled through the three songs that were sent and told me the only one she hadn't heard was life waster.

i listened to the first two, MISA MISA! and an untitled one, with rae. i really dig both of them but i'm not sure how well i personally would fit on them. i dug my earbuds out of my bag and put them in to listen to life waster.

that song hit something for me. it seemed more of the style i've been trying to emulate but just haven't gotten down for myself. i listened to it another time and nodded.

after making plans with luna to do life waster together, i decided to drop her a follow on instagram. looking through her posts i noticed that she was absolutely gorgeous. of course, she's an e girl which would draw me in, but she is stunning. she seems to stick to her own which i'm jealous of.

i texted her the lyrics that i cut from the song and told her she could fuck around with them if she needed to. i listened to life waster over again and thought of where her feature could be fit in. her voice and vibe will be perfect for it and i'm excited to see where it goes.

the fact that she's friends with rae makes me wonder how i never heard about her. rae doesn't really mention a lot of people outside of our circle as to keep them out of the spotlight, so it could be that. luna seems to have her own little corner that she stays in and doesn't branch out of.

i decided to text rae and get some info on luna.

i continued listening to her music. it's so captivating and she's constantly able to mesh genres. she has heavier angrier music but also softer and more emotional pieces. it truly does remind me a lot of what i do. going from agoraphobic to DAYWALKER! for me is like going from death by design to hateful for her.

the more i learn about her and what she does, the more intrigued i am. i would love to get to know her outside of music.
