at the end of my trip to rae's, i flew back to washington and immediately perched myself at my desk to work on my part in life waster. corpse had sent me over the lyrics he cut and i decided to take them and put my own spin on them. i recorded a few takes and then decided on one to send to corpse.

i breathed a sigh of relief knowing that corpse was satisfied with what he heard from me. i'm typically very hard on myself and it normally takes more than just a few shots before i settle on something musically.

i got up from my desk and decided to unpack my bags. cleaning up and making myself dinner, i sat on my couch and turned on some tv.

taken off guard by my phone ringing, i looked down and saw corpse was calling me. my heart sank a little as he doesn't seem like the person to call out of the blue.

"hello?" i answered questioningly.

"hey, i wanted you to hear what i was working with while i was working on it."

i breathed a sigh of relief.

"i'd love to hear what you have."

he played the song back for me with my feature worked in and i couldn't get enough of it. i felt like i really meshed on the track and it sounded so fucking cool.

"that.. sounds amazing, corpse."

"i'm glad you like it. i was really iffy about letting someone on this track, but i think you're a perfect fit."

we continued to talk for awhile about anything and everything, but a lot about our music. i actually clicked with him more than i thought i would and i enjoyed talking to him. when we finally hung up i immediately texted rae.

after my short conversation with rae i sat down at my desk and decided to play the sims for self care. i kept listening to the life waster file that corpse sent me and i couldn't get over it. his talent is unmatched and the fact that he wanted to work with me is something i can't quit smiling about.

CORPSE

after working on life waster with luna i called sean. he picked up after a few rings and i immediately started talking.

"luna. no good luna. there's something about the girl." i quickly spoke.

sean laughed, "ah, you've found her."

"we're working on a song together and we just talked for like three hours after we finished up and i'm intrigued by her."

"rae and i have always said she's like the female version of you when it comes to personality, so i think you've just met your match."

sean and i continued to talk about luna and the song for a little while before i let him go to take care of some things he needed to do. i leaned back in my computer chair and ran my hands through my hair.

what the hell is it about her?

i want to get to know her more, and i want to work with her more. i never thought i would be this thankful that someone recommended a random e-girl to do a song with me.
