Dark thoughts (Wanda x Reader)

Midnight affairs IX

You pull into the compound's garage and immediately see Tony gazing daggers at the both of you. You look at Wanda who had an anxious look on her face, you sigh and unbuckle your seatbelt, slowly getting out of the car. You look over at Tony and pull your best innocent smile.

"Hey boss! What are you doing up so late?" You ask nonchalantly as you glance at your watch, you wince as you see that it was nearly half-past eleven meaning that you and Wanda had nearly spent six hours out. Tony scoffs and approaches you and Wanda, putting out one hand, you drop the keys in his hand and look at Wanda with pleading eyes. She gets the hint and slowly walks away from you and Tony.

"So you're stealing cars now?" Tony asks you as he tilts his head down and looks at you through his glasses. You hated when he did that and he knew it. Seriously who wears sunglasses at night?

"I didn't steal your car I just borrowed it without you knowing." You say smiling as you pat Tony's shoulder and walk towards the elevator.

"I'm still your boss, you can't walk away like that." 

"Yeah and you'd be lost without me." You call out to Tony, waving at him as the elevator doors close, FRIDAY asks you which floor you're headed to as usual and you tell her to take you to where Wanda was. The doors open and you make your way towards Wandas bedroom and knock on her door, almost immediately Wanda opens the door and lets you in and you walk over to her bed and collapse on it, your hands behind your head as you lay on your back.

Wanda walks up to you and sits next to you looking down at you.

"Sorry I got you in trouble." She says, her hands going to absant-mindingly play with the ends of your braids. You try not to notice but you can feel your cheeks grow warm as her fingers fiddle with your braid until completely stopping and pulling her hand away.

"Sorry." You hear her mumble.

"It's OK and I didn't get in trouble with Tony he's just a tad bit angry with me." You say as you look at Wanda's clock that rested on her bedside table, it was a bit past eleven-thirty and you were sure Tony was going to wake you up early as revenge so you say goodnight to Wanda and head down to your room. You take a quick shower and change into a large jumper and joggings, slipping into your bed you let out a yawn and slip into a heavy sleep.

"Y/N Mr Stark wishes to speak to you."

You groan and pull your blankets over your head as FRIDAY turns on the lights in your room. You look at your clock, it was only half past midnight, had you really slept for only an hour? The sun wasn't even out yet, you knew Tony was gonna wake you up early but what could he possibly want? You roll out of bed and stumble over to the bathroom, wincing as the bright light hits you in the face. You quickly wash your face and tie your braids in a low ponytail, throwing on black joggings and a black hoodie. You slip on some casual shoes and head out of your room and towards Tony's office.

Once you finally reach his office you knock on his door and soon afterwards you hear a small 'come in' so you step inside the office. As you walk in You see Tony looking through pieces of paper, occasionally typing something onto his laptop. 

"Look who's up bright and early." Tony states not looking up at you, you scoff and collapse on the chair in front of his desk pulling your hood over your face and crossing your arms. You were about to fall asleep again but Tony throws a folder at you, waking you up. You groan and take the folder in your hand looking at the cover then back at Tony.

"The signal decoy is missing and I need you to go get it for me." Tony says as he slips a piece of paper in a brown folder. You frown at him and sink back into your seat.
