Max examined the book for a quick second after taking it from Michelle. "Let's torch the sucker." Max said as he threw it to the ground and both Michelle and Dani stood up and stood next to him. As Max lit the lighter, he knelt on the ground, both Michelle and Dani followed. He held the flame up to the book but the flame was blown away from the book. "It's protected by magic." Binx said as Max closed the lighter. As Michelle was about to say something to Max, they began to hear the cackling of the Sanderson sisters overhead. Max gasped and stood up with Michelle grabbing Max's arm. Max wrapped one arm around Dani and used the other hand to protect Michelle. "It's just a bunch of hocus pocus!" Winifred said in a taunting manner. Michelle took the lead and while still holding on to Max, she brought them behind a pile of rocks.

Winifred ordered Sarah and Mary in different directions. "MAX!" Dani shrieked and they all looked to see Sarah flying near us. "Brave little virgin who lit the candle." Sarah said as Max, Dani, and Michelle and grabbed each other and stumbled backward into more rocks. "I'll be thy friend." Sarah reached her arm out to Max. Anger filled Michelle which led her to pick up a leaf-covered stick and walked toward Sarah. "Back off bitch!" she yelled and she swung the stick at Sarah. "Ouch!" Sarah yelled as she ascended back into the air. "Bo-ooo-ook!" Winifred sang. Binx jumped off the rock and everyone ran after him as he jumped onto the book. "'Fraid not!" Binx yelled "Thackery Binx, thou mangy feline. Still alive?" Winifred smiled as everyone surrounded Binx. "And waiting for you!" he clawed at the air. "Oh! Thou hast waited in vain. And thou will fail to save thy friends just as thou failed to save thy sister!" Winifred shouted and Thackery hissed. Winifred then began flying closer "Grab the book!" Binx yelled and Max leapt forward, grabbing the book.

Winifred shouted as she followed the group through the graveyard until Michelle screamed, stopping everyone. When they looked, they saw Mary flying toward them. They ran past Mary and Michelle grabbed Max's arm. "They can't touch us here, right?" Max asked Binx. "Well...they can't." Binx replied. "I don't like the way you said that." Dani said. "Unfaithful lover long since dead, deep asleep in thy wormy bed. Wiggle thy toes, open thine eyes, twist thy fingers toward the sky. Life is sweet, be not shy, on thy feet so says I!" Winifred yelled as Max, Dani, and Michelle held each other in a close huddle. The ground suddenly began moving beneath them as the witches cackled. Everyone screamed as a coffin began to rise from the ground. "MICHELLE!" Dani screamed as she reached for Michelle's hand.

Suddenly the ground stopped shaking and the group sat on the ground panting. They looked at the coffin as it burst open to reveal a grunting corpse. He then looked at them and they looked at each other before screaming and running. "In here!" Binx yelled as Dani crawled behind him. Michelle ran behind Dani and noticed Max wasn't with her. "Max!" she shouted. "Max let's go!" she crawled out and ran over to Max, grabbing his arm and pulling him away. "Dani, are you okay?" Michelle asked as they crawled down the hole. "Mhm." Dani coughed. "What is this place, Binx?" Michelle questioned "It's the old Salem Cryptic, it leads up into the sewers and up to the street. "Hmm...charming." Michelle coughed. As Max looked up he saw a Skeleton on the ceiling. "Oh god, don't look up Dani." he groaned "Don't worry. I won't." she put one hand up as the other rested on one of Michelle's hands that were on Dani's shoulders. "Relax, I've hunted mice down here for years." Binx assured them.

"Mice?" Dani gagged. "This way!" Binx led the group through tunnels. "Come along, not much further." Binx said. "Thanks for helping protect Dani." Max spoke. "It's no problem. She's sweet." Michelle ruffled Dani's hair as they walked. "I'm uh sorry I got us into this by lighting the candle." Max said. "I guess it's kinda my fault too, I brought us there." she said, "I wouldn't rather fight these witches with anyone but y--" Max began

"Down here!" Binx shouted and Michelle chuckled and put her head down as they followed the cat. "Up the ladder." Binx said as the group reached the end of the tunnels. Max climbed first with Binx on his shoulders, he opened up the grate for Binx to crawl through when Max suddenly yelled "Binx look out!" and he closed the grate as a large bus came. "What just happened?" Michelle asked with worry in her eyes as Max climbed down the ladder for a moment. "Binx! No!" Dani cried. Michelle quickly climbed up the ladder and opened the grate, crawling onto the street with Max and Dani close behind. "Oh my god." Max said as they looked at the street and saw Binx laying there, lifelessly. Dani sobbed and wrapped her arms around Michelle who hugged her back. "It's all my fault." Max shook his head and walked near Michelle and Dani. "Max...it's not your fault." Michelle reached an arm out to stop Max from walking any farther.
