The next thing I knew I was sitting in an oddly elegant office chair awkwardly watching Swiss and a man named papa having a deep discussion on my possible living arrangements.

I stared down at my hands placed neatly on my lap fumbling with my hands "how long has she been without a church?" papa asked taking a glance at me and then back to Swiss who was sitting on a backward chair his arms resting on the chair back his tail flicking back and forth calmly.

"Why don't you ask her?" Swiss grumbled annoyed at the overly antsy papa his mismatched eyes meeting mine "since last night" I murmured not meeting his paranoid gaze, papa let out an audible sigh looking at him through my eyelashes to see him rubbing his temples.

"She can stay" he permitted waving his hand around his lacey sleeve flowing with his gesture, I perked up keenly catching Swiss's gaze and giving him an excited smile.

Papa turned away from his desk digging through a bunch of drawers behind him throwing meaningless papers aside eventually digging out an old rusty gold key appearing as if it would open a door that belonged to a mysterious castle room.

"eh yes, this key belongs to a door down in the dungeon where you'll be staying with the ghouls if you don't mind hm?" papa explained holding the key out for me to take "why the dungeon sir?" I questioned curiously while taking the key into my hands.

"We've had an angel- well death angel- who stayed here with us before and that was her old room before eh- you know" he waved his hand about once again as he rambled "what happened to her?" I inquired tilting my head as angles, just as ghouls were immortal unless something killed them or they were banished.

"we'll she left the church and succumbed to the elements" he replied awkwardly I nodded beginning to stand up from the chair "oh there should also be clothing in there if you'd like to change" papa informed me as I stood up Swiss following me shortly after.

I smiled at papa waving goodbye before exiting his office the multi-ghoul on my heels "is he always that anxious?" I asked Swiss as he closed the large door behind him walking alongside me as we ventured back to the basement to find this room.

"No, I guess after Terzo passed he's gotten more, worried" he shrugged with a frown pausing in front of the basement entrance I had descended before "what's wrong?" I asked turning around once I noticed he had failed to follow me.

"I'm worried about everyone meeting you" he sighed adjusting his mask as he walked up to me slowly his hands behind his back and his head hung low "don't worry Swiss, if anything goes wrong I'll kick their ass" I joked dramatically punching the air making him snort "whatever you say, princess".

I and swiss descended the staircase for a second time reaching the same wooden door he had led me through the night before "so do you want to meet everyone first then go check out the room or-" he said opening the old elegant cellar door in front of us.

I sat there for a second thinking to myself about what I wanted to do first, it would be sensible to change first and meet everyone after but- I was excited to meet everyone but I suppose I wanted a good impression.

"let's go find my room so I can change and then you can take me to meet everyone okay?" I smiled tilting my head my hair falling to the side "whatever you say" he smiled back taking a right down a hallway I had not seen before.

"There's only one locked room in this hallway so if I'm correct this will be your room" he informed pausing in front of a wooden door similar to others we had passed before, I fumbled with the key pushing it into the lock and twisting hearing a satisfying click as I opened the door.

"Wow, it's so pretty" I whispered in awe looking past the door and into the elegant room stepping into it to reveal a large queen-sized bed pushed against a wall, drapes hiding the bed from the rest of the world the black sheer curtains forming what looked like the mouth of a comfortable cave.

"I'll leave you to get changed, I will just be outside come out when you're ready" he nodded stepping out of the room and closing the door behind him, I glanced around the place as I headed to the dresser opening the drawers to reveal an array of black dresses each having two holes in the backs perfect for wings.

I smiled happily slipping a beautiful lacy black dress over my head self consciously pulling up a pair of black shorts over my tights in case I did any activity that involved running, I pulled up a pair of short black socks with a lace trim-finishing the outfit off with a pair of black comfortable heels.

Though it may not seem like it- a bitch could run in these heels, I let out a hum of satisfaction looking at myself in the old dusty mirror that was built into the antique dresser various beautiful flower carvings engraved into the wooden frame.

I walked myself to the bedroom door my stomach letting out an angry growl, food was the last thing on my mind I would just eat later possibly with the ghouls if they'd let me even though Swiss was the only one I had befriended.

I opened the door stepping out into the hallway looking for the ghoul I had just been thinking about "Swiss?" I called looking down both ends of the hallway both empty the only living thing was me and the live torches their fire wavering and dancing for all to see.

A small pit grew in my stomach as I walked down the hallway "Swiss?" I peeped becoming more anxious my wings becoming tense the more I ventured out into the hall, cold hands wrapped around my shoulders spinning me around to meet the white goofy grin of a familiar multi-ghoul.

"you're a piece of shit!" I gasped grabbing at my chest dramatically Swiss huffing out a husky chuckle "you know you love me" he purred his forked tail swaying seductively "go suck your dick moron" I scoffed with a laugh turning away from the ghoul.

"Y/n" he called to me as I continued down the dimly lit hallway "what?" I said pausing to glance at him from over my shoulder "you're going the wrong way princess" he snickered throwing a thumb over his shoulder with a shit-eating grin slapped on his face.

My face quickly reddened from embarrassment and speedily walked past the ghoul in the other direction listening to his footsteps quicken as he caught up to me "that door at the very end of the hall is the common room, everyone except for mountain is in there probably playing Uno or something along the lines-" he explained with a joyous grin waving his hand around frantically as he spoke.

I nodded my facial expression softening a small smile traced on my lips as I listened to Swiss ramble fondly about his brothers and sisters, though he was the biggest flirt in existence- he was a sweet guy, just a big old softy who liked to fuck around.
