Chapter 3 | The Festival

Sarah wandered around the carnival, while her sister's were search for Traske, "step right up! Step right up! For a chance to win!" The man exclaimed holding up darts, She looked at the rack of prizesa behind the man, a certain stuffed animal caught her eye, it was a small teddy bear. "It looks like the one I gave her..." she said under her breath, it brought back memories of her beloved.

"Ma'am would you like to try?" The kind man offered, "oh, no. I- maybe just once..." she grabbed the darts from his hands, and threw it making it land right in the middle of the board, everyone cheered for her as she smiled, she threw the remaining darts all landing them in the bulls-eye. "What would you like, miss?" She took a minute to decide, before pointing to the stuffed bear. He handed to her, "have a good night, miss"

"Thank you, kind sir" She said, choosing to sound more modern. She stuff the stuffed animal into her purse as he waved her off, she happily hummed as she walked around again, she bumped into a girl, "oh, I'm so sorry!" She apologized, I offered my hand to the woman, "oh, it's you!" Sarah took a moment to realize, "oh yeah! I never got your name?" Sarah contemplated if she should tell her a fake name or real one. "Uhm, Sarah! What's your's?"

"Naomi, nice to meet you, Sarah!" She smiled, "oh my god! That's such a great costume! Can I take a picture my girlfriend would love it!" A woman that looked similar to Sarah approached her, Sarah posed for the photo. The woman thanked her before running off to someone a few feet away. Sarah and Naomi talked to each other and flirted, Sarah snaked her hands onto Naomi's waist bringing her close.

The girl that took a picture with Sarah ran to her girlfriend, "Babe! Y/n! Look at this! This girl's costume is so great!" Y/n turned around to look at her girlfriend's phone, she looked at the girl her eyes widened, "Sandra, baby, where'd you find this woman?" Y/n asked her voice wobbly, Sandra pointed to their direction.

There she was, flirting with some other girl. "Oh my god..." she murmured, "hey, hun, could you grab my phone in the car please? I think I left it there" she said as an excuse to go to Sarah, as Sandra walked away Y/n hurriedly walked over to them, "Sarah?" She questioned, the bleach blonde woman turned around letting go of the girl, "Y- y/n?"

"Hey, baby! I gotta go to the bathroom! Can you come with me?" I asked, placing a kiss on her soft lips, putting up an act, "oh, uhm, yeah sure! See you later Naomi!" Sarah waved at Naomi. Once they were out of sight Y/n turned to look at her, "Sarah...how- how and when did you come back?" Sarah just studied her face not even listening to the question, "I uh- We came back a few hours ago!" She smiled, it was the same smile that enchanted Y/n all those years ago. Now, she felt nothing for the woman, their love was now as one sided as Sarah's affair's.

"This is ridiuculous..." Y/n said, walking away and turning a few corner's. She disappeared soon enough, Sarah sighed, "Sarah!" She perked up hearing Winnie calling for her. "Coming Winnie!" She yelled back, Sarah hurriedly ran to Winnie, wondering what she wanted from her.
