"Morning, were you guys all called in today?"
Ikeda stepped next to Kirishima
"Yeah, what a coincidence!"
They all headed the same direction for a while, which was very peculiar . . .
Eventually the reached their destination and saw the big three gathered outside the building. They all greeted them warmly with smiles ( except Amajiki of course )
When they entered the building, Midoriya 'yelled' out: "What is this?!"
Ikeda flinched at the sudden outburst and nearly hit Midoriya ( reflex )
It was an even bigger shock to see that Aizawa and Gran Torino where there, even Ikeda almost yelled out in surprise.
"Hey, Hey! What is this?! What are we doing?! You said it'd be a meeting, but I knew that! What kind of meeting?"
Hado approached Ryuku
"You'll see soon. Nighteye will start it shortly"
Ikeda looked down a bit
'Oh, so it's that case'
'I hope it's not as bad as it seems . . .'
'Who am I kidding?'
'They gathered even Aizawa and Gran Torino here, it has to be at least pretty bad if not terrible'
. . .
"Thanks to all the information you supplied, the investigation has progressed considerably"
Nighteye looked up ( sorta ) menacingly ( and all that )
"The small Yakuza organization, the eightfold cleansers . . . what are they exactly plotting? Along with the sharing of acquired information, I would like to consult that with you today"
. . .
"Because Kirshima bravely volunteered his body and was shot at, we were able to obtain a bullet with the contents still inside!!" Fat gum yelled out
Kirishima was stunned
"After examining the contents, we made the most sickening discovery . . . inside were human blood and cells"
Any happiness that was in the room was immediately stolen away, it was too gruesome to believe. Ikeda even considered that maybe they had the wrong answer, but then she remembered how cruel people could be and accepted it.
The students faces turned pale and they began to sweat with worry, disgust, and disbelief.
"In other words . . . it's a quirk then? A quirk that destroys quirks?" Ryuku said.
Ikeda had learned a new ability during training. She could see experiences that people were thinking about, but only for a few seconds.
Ikeda used it on Mirio and and Midoriya, it seemed like they had experienced something far more traumatizing, in the current situation, than anyone else in the room.
An eye appeared on her palm, and she pointed it towards the two. She closed her eyes and saw a girl that looked no older then six, she ran out from an alleyway and her arms were covered in bandages.
She gasped.
The sudden outburst caught the attention of most of the people in the room.
"Is there something wrong, Ikeda?"
Ikeda gripped onto her leg.
"It's nothing, sorry"
Ikeda slumped back into her chair a bit more and held onto the legs of it.
'A child . . . ?!'
'It's . . . a child's blood?!'
'Who would be so sick to do something like that?!'
'No, to even think about doing something like that!'
'How could--?!'
"This time around, Eri . . . we'll definitely rescue her!!"
Midoriya and Mirio had gotten up from their chairs, and were now standing on their feet.
Ikeda went pale. Although that gave a bit more hope into the rest of the students, Ikeda had already thought three of the many ways it could go.
Ikeda got up and followed the rest of the students to what appeared to be a break room and sat down at a table with them.
'One: It could go all according to plan and there would be no casualties, although that seemed like a miracle.'
'Two: There would be a few accidents and a few things would go wrong, but the mission would still be a success.'
'Three: Everything would go wrong and they would all fail the mission.'
"So that's what happened . . ." Kirishima muttered
Ikeda was sent back to reality and blinked a few times to get back into it.
"So frustrating . . ." She could hear Kirishima murmur
She looked around at all their faces. They looked so sickened.
Ikeda got up from her chair.
"Hm? Ikeda, where are you going?" Kirishima asked, startled
Ikeda stopped and without turning around, said: "I need to have a talk with someone"
She walked out of the room, passing Aizawa, and going outside.
There was a person across the street staring at her. She had never seen him or heard of him before, but she was sure they were going to get along just fine.
( Ikeda was a 'spy' in the paranormal liberation front with Hawks, although Hawks didn't know she was a spy and thought she was actually in the Paranormal Liberation Front. Ikeda thought the same of Hawks and distanced herself from him as much as possible )
P.S. Ikeda took the guy out for a drink ( platonically ) to pry out more information from him.
