( Yes, I meant to put that there. Try reading this sad part while listening to this.)

On New Years Eve, Ikeda went to the hospital to visit her mother. Anzu had recently been diagnosed with stage three lung cancer after having coughed up large amounts of blood. ( I tried to do as much research as I could to be as accurate as possible )

Ikeda never really liked her mother, or her father. She had never met her grandparents and don't plan to. If her mother died, she's have to move into a foster home, get adopted, or stay with a relative, and she didn't want any of those.

Ikeda  walked through the door of her mother's hospital room, 203.

Anzu was lying in bed, her eyes closed. A doctor was in the room and looked very dejected, not at anyone, but for Ikeda.

"Are you the daughter of Anzu Ikeda?"

Ikeda  frowned

"Yes"

The doctor sighed and put his clipboard on the table next to him.

"Your mother is in a serious condition. I'm afraid she might not live to see the up to August. She has had cancer for a while and hasn't done anything about it, might you know why?"

Ikeda  put her hands in her pocket and clenched her fists.

"No"

. . .

Three hours have passed since Ikeda  sat down next to her mother, three more minutes until twelve in the morning.

Ikeda  closed her eyes and sighed.

"For my New Year's resolution, I think I'm going to try my best to forget all about you and father. You both make me sick"

Ikeda  gets up, and leaves the room.

Walking down the street, she looks at her watch and the time changes from 11:59pm to 12:00am.

Back in room 203, Anzu's heart rate slowly drops, and it flatlines.

"Happy New Year"

Ikeda  says through a grin.

"I am two fools, I know. For loving, and for saying so"
