ugh I feel sick! Was the first thing that invaded my thoughts when I woke. Why does my head hurt so much, I thought clutching my head between my palms wanting to rip it off. “ma’am you must get up” a vital voice spoke as I groaned shoving the covers over my head. I am never ever drinking again!
I feel so beat up and icky!
“ma’am you must get up” the voice spoke again, this time standing at the edge of my bed I believe. My head felt like there was a chaotic party playing along, I squeezed my eyes tightly trying to block the infuriating voice that is still speaking, “Good after noon Mrs Berio Pavarotti” the voice spoke with panic.
The party, dancing, Edward and w-water? What the hell? Ugh, I should’ve listen to Damon, I can’t believe I followed a stranger out of the club. I could’ve been raped or something! Ugh
“Summer” the mellifluous voice screeched causing me to jump up in surprise, my head instantly squashed my brain out, as I yelled in agony causing the pain to increase.
Lucida was standing beside my bed hands folded in a black gown, while Jordan stood behind hiding. My step-mother gave Jordan one look before she vanished immediately.
My head felt like it was going to liquidate me if I keep this up, I let it fall down to the soft pillows beneath me, eyes closing instantly.
“Summer get up” Lucida ordered while I groaned nonetheless opening my eyes, the feeling of nauseous and wanting to vomit suddenly invaded my sense but somehow managed to hold it in. “Do you know what time it is Summer?” time for you to get a watch, I thought what kind of a question was that.
“no” I mumbled tiredly
“it is almost one in the afternoon” she spoke with a bit of anger laced around her strained tone, her eyes turning darker.
“why did you ask me the time if you knew then?” I asked abit annoyed, why wake me up when there is nothing to do. Her brown globes throbbed as her right eye twitched in additional anger.
She sighed heavily, “Summer your engagement party…. its in 3hours”
Oh shit, I jumped out of the bed my feet hitting the soft creamed carpet. The room started to spin with the sudden move and before I knew it I was on my back, crying in pain that was throbbing my back as my hands shot to my stomach. I gazed down to see I’m wearing my PJ’s, how did I get in them again? Ugh this headache is killing me!
“What is wrong with you,” she spoke in disgust gazing at me weirdly, “were you drinking Summer?” she asked curiously.
“no” I lied not making eye contact with her, while she puffed her cheeks obviously knowing I’m lying, “I just have a stomach,” I answered honestly.
I hate when girls go through this stage, mood swings , stomach cramps (sometimes for me) and bad attitudes. I don’t want to slip and say something that I’ll regret later on.
“here take this,” she shoved an aspirin and water to my hands, as I was still on the ground. How did she get it so fast, I wonder. Nonetheless I took the pill and dawned it down with water, my head cooling down, but the pain is definitely still there, “don’t you ever lie to me Summer” she spoke abit offended, before walking out of the room. Leaving me sprawled on the ground in confusion.
After taking a nice long hot steamy shower, I walked out with my body protectively covered in my white towel. When I reached my boudoir, the bed was already furnished with a beautiful white gown and beige heels at the bottom. I walked towards the gown eyeing it intriguingly, why do I have a gown when I already brought one? Where is the gown we brought? My hands traced the silky soft fabric, loving how my hands flows along it easily.
My eyes caught the site of an envelope that was folded neatly, with my name written creatively on it. I picked it up, with a frown before ripping it open. There was a letter there, I read the letter making sure what I was seeing was correct:
Summer,
I am tremendously sorry to do this, since I know you and Damon had a hard time selecting an outfit for your ball yesterday. I believe that gown was not apposite for this twilight, so I got a designer to personally design your gown. This gown will make you the most beautiful sovereign out there, it will be a noble idea to make a good impression at the start. So I advise you to wear it. The servants will be there shortly to fix your hair and make up.
Love eternally
Lucida
To say I was not happy would be an understatement of the century, I was beyond furious. How could they do this to me? After spending all that time shopping, they decide not to use the gown I personally chose for my own engagement party?
I took deep calming breaths to prevent the waterworks from leaking out. Folding the paper I placed it back gazing at the dress challengingly. I can do this, I really can do this. Just put the dress on and smile, alright Summer? Don’t let them get in your head. And that’s what I just did, I slipped on the white gown on.
To my surprise it fitted me perfectly and hugged my body completely, it’s almost identical to the blue one that Damon and I brought. Except this one seems abit longer, with more curves and cleavage being exposed and less sparkles. I wounder how the blue one was inappropriate, since this one showed more of my chest then the other?
There was a slight knock on the door and in walked Jordan with a bag full of make up and other stuff I’m guessing, I nodded towards her so she may come in. “good-after noon ma’am” she spoke automatically, as if it is programmed in her ‘system’.
“after-noon Jordan” I gravely answered, walking across to the other side where my mirror was. Jordan started unpacking the items before facing me, over 50 different shades of nail polish was piled in front of me and make up kits. I sat there gazing at them with horror, I hope she doesn’t do my make up like before I groaned.
