"Um hi," I finally broke the unwelcoming silence that's been engulfing the room for the last 20 minutes.
I don't even know why my father set this date up! I just don't get it! I'm already engaged or whatever, so what's he trying to do!? Beside he shouldn't be the one to force us to go out! Charles should be the one asking.
Anyways we're at this restaurant that looks like it was made for royalty. I mean considering my dad is the richest man in the world this should feel pretty normal but all in honesty it doesn't. I just can't seem to wrap my head around how my world changed from just a poor Latina country girl to become this rich girl who has the world bowing before her.
The restaurant was in the middle of this dock, surrounded by the ocean that was engulfing the area. Candles in the water setting up some romantic scene or whatever, music playing softly singing music to my ears along with the crashing waters.
There were people around us, though they were seated abit further away. Giving us 'space'. Damon is sitting a couple of seats from us, but far enough that he can't hear our conversation.
Charles gave me a small nod before continuing to text on his phone. I rolled my eyes, what a gentleman he is. Such a great entertainer I though sarcastically before whipping my phone out too.
Seems as though your having fun ;) -D
I glared at Damon from across the restaurant before typing.
I am thank you very much, he just can't seem to stop talking!! -S
Oh really, I can feel the chemistry just oozing off the two of you ;) -D
Well I'm such an entertainer, how's your date? Oh I forgot you came alone ;) -S
Ahah well aren't you funny, actually I'm just waiting for this hot Latina girl to realise that her date is a tool and she should join me -D
I blushed red, before catching his eyes that were twinkling with joy. He winked at me causing my blush to deepen.
Cute blush -D
I stuck my tongue out at Damon before sliding my phone back in my purse.
"Last time I checked we were on a date" Charles snapped while I rose my eyebrow.
"Your point being"
"Well we could wrap this whole thing up, if you'd rather text your boyfriend!"
I rolled my eyes at the douchbag. Great just great, I'm getting married to an ass. Out of all the guys in the world my father had to chose this arrogant ass.
"Just moments ago you were the one texting, hypocrisy is a sin doll" I snapped back before drinking the champagne in front of me.
Charles stared at me for a full minute before rolling his eyes. What a creep I thought continuing to sip.
"How are you?"
"Excuse me...?" I questioned quite startled by the dumb question.
"I said how are you?"
"....fine...?"
"How do you feel about this marriage thing?"
I shrugged my shoulders.
"I know.." He sighed, "I don't practically agree with it too"
"Then why did you?"
His eyes stared right through me once again, as if he can see my soul and reveal every secret hidden in my limbo life.
Charles cracked a small sincere smile, "you wouldn't believe me if I told you"
I rose my eyebrow accepting the challenge, "try me"
"Well why did you agree Miss?"
"I don't want to disappoint my Father" I answered honestly, before taking another quick sip of the champagne.
"Let's go" he suddenly asked after a moment, standing up and began walking away.
"Wait!" Slamming the drink down I hurriedly ran after him.
Seriously who the hell just does that though! "Charles wait!"
"Just hurry up!"
