Chapter 1

'Oh shit shit shit, I'm sooo late, so very very late, not good, not good..!'

Naruto thought in complete panic.

He impatiently taped his foot as he waited for the bus to arrive, praying desperately that it reaches even just a minute earlier.

He kept looking around anxiously, and for just a moment, met eyes with someone wearing the same uniform as himself.

Oh our eyes met-

That person looked away immediately but Naruto heard it loud and clear.

His voice that resonated directly in Naruto's mind, left him standing there speechlessly staring at him.

'Ah, he's the one, my destiny... '

Naruto's thoughts dazedly trailed off. And so, he continued to stare at him.

The raven haired teen looked at him again after feeling his relentless stares.

What the-? He's really staring so much... Look at him! He's not even looking away after meeting eyes again, how bold!... Why..? This is a little unnerving, but I feel like I'll lose if I look away, shit.. Now what... Why is he not looking away?!

By now, the raven was completely glaring, a full on death glare.

But Naruto who was able to hear him loud and clear, couldn't help but feel extremely fascinated by this.

To think he's completely unfazed even after directly confronting with my death glares-! How formidable..!

"Pfft-hahah", Naruto laughed out loud, 'death glares he says himself',  he thinks laughing more, 'gosh why's it soo funny'

The raven stood there speechlessly when the blonde that was staring at him suddenly started laughing out of nowhere.

'what even-?', the raven was completely clueless.

He continued to look at him questioningly but before they could meet eyes again, the bus arrived and they got on it separately, so it wasn't until they reached their highschool -late as heck on the first day- that they stood next to each other and met eyes again.

We're hella late huh blondie.. Should I ask for his name..?

"It's Naruto, I'm Uzumaki Naruto, what your name?", Naruto grinned brightly.

Oh he beat me to it

The raven looked at him blankly as he thought this and said out loud, "Uchiha Sasuke..."

It was a simple and curt reply, but hearing his voice for the first time, not as thoughts but his actual voice, had a huge impact on Naruto.

He grinned wider, feeling his heart clench tightly.

Look at him.. He's staring again, what's with this guy..?

Sasuke was completely clueless but didn't look away either, he just stared right back at him, with his perfect poker face on.

Hmmm... This is awkward.. Morelike, what are we even doing when we're already late..? Well shit... Look away already, dumbass..! Why's he even staring so much?! Not to mention that goofy grin?!!... Ah.. He's not insane or anything, is he..? Ohno, that's kinda scary-

"Ah-! I'm very sorry for staring so much..! It was just so interesting that I couldn't help it!!!", Naruto said in a panicked voice.

..hm..? Interesting..? What is???

"What..?", Sasuke voiced out loud.

"Well, how should I put this, without sounding crazy..?-"
