Chapter 2

It was still only the second day of their highschool but they were already completely comfortable with each other.

So much that Sasuke was now busy staring at Naruto during one of their classes, and as soon as the blonde looked back at him, started a full-on one sided conversation.

Ah! Finally! Took you long enough to look at me! Anyways, It's a little late to bring this up now but why are we already on first name basis?! We literally just met yesterday! I have never gotten this close to someone this quickly ever in my life! This is big deal you know! Nod if you get it!

Naruto quickly and enthusiastically nodded with an amused grin. He honestly didn't expect Sasuke to start a conversation in this way, during class hours no less. It was a pleasant surprise to say the least.

Sasuke who was pleased with the nod he received, continued with a satisfied smirk.

Well, but, this power you have sure is convenient, huh, oh, but why does it only work on me? Can't read others like this right? Nod if you can't read anyone else's mind.

Naruto nodded with a slight amused chuckle. Even though Sasuke seems to be the quiet type outwardly, his thoughts were anything but quiet. And even though he was so against only his thoughts being read, now he's the one casually starting up a conversation using Naruto's power as if it's his own.

'How much more amusing can he get..? He's so cute... And downright beautiful... I could look at him all day long-'

OYYY!!! Where are you looking?! Properly look into my eyes and listen to me! I'm bored!!!

'Ah, so that was it, and that was really loud'

Naruto thought as he sweatdroped.

So now you know... I'm extremely bored at the moment, I know everything that they're teaching right now cause I'm just that amazing, not that I brag about it, not out loud at least, but anyways, I'm bored. Entertain me.

'Wait- Whaaat? All of a sudden??'

Naruto couldn't help but laugh and promptly got told off by their teacher.

It wasn't until a few minutes later that he was able to look back at Sasuke and surprisingly -or not so- Sasuke was looking right back at him. As soon as their eyes met Sasuke immediately shot him a guilty look.

I'm so sorry! That was because of me right? I'm so very sorry~

Sasuke full-on had a kicked puppy dog look right about now and Naruto couldn't help but blush a little then looked away for just a moment, with a hand over his mouth. But as soon as he looked back Sasuke looked even more guilty than before.

...Are you mad at me..? ...no way right..? Oh no... -

Naruto's eyes widened as he heard this thought in an unusually meek voice and took a while to process it but as soon as it did, he immediately shook his head and mouthed the words 'Not at all, I'm not mad at you'

...Are you saying you're not mad at me for what happened..?

Naruto immediately nodded vigorously.

Oh... I'm so glad... Ah! I'm still very sorry though! I'll stop bombarding you with my thoughts now, sorry, Naru-

Sasuke looked away.

Naruto couldn't help but wonder, 'Did he just call me "Naru"..? Or was his thought cut off before he completely said my name cause he looked away??? I'm so curious~~~ Shittt~~~'

Now it was Naruto who was relentlessly staring at him and Sasuke soon looked right back to find Naruto staring intently at him.

Eh, what? Why're you staring so much?? Ah, right, it's totally one sided telepathy right now...

Sasuke propped up his arm on the desk and leaned his face against his plam with a slight pout.

Now, what, Naru..? What to do..?... Hmmm~~~

'Ah, he's really calling me "Naru" in his thoughts so causally, even though just being on first name basis was getting him all riled up just minutes ago...'

Naruto chuckled and looked at Sasuke with a sweet smile as he mouthed 'Love you' then grinned brightly.

Huh-?! Lo- L-l-l-lo- Say whaaat?!!? Y-You! I told you not to say that stuff! We literally just met yesterday! -Even though I feel super close to him already- Wait- No- That's besides the point! Ahhh!! Stop embarrassing me!! Idiot!

Sasuke looked away and layed his head on the desk, arms wrapping around his head, trying to cover up his heated face that definitely looked super red too.

Naruto was trying very hard not to chuckle, so when the class ended and the teacher walked out soon after, he immediately burst into laughter.

And Sasuke could only feel even more embarrassed.

He really wanted to dig himself a hole and hid in it, but such thoughts were thoroughly interrupted when a hand gently stroked his hair. And thoughts that weren't his own, soothingly flowed into his mind.

Beautiful.. How can you be so cute... Won't you call me 'Naru' out loud too..? Hey... You're listening right Sasuke? ...Sasu...

Sasuke moved his head, just enough for only his eyes to show, with his lower face still hiden by his arm, and met eyes with the blonde.

Shut up, dobe... You're so embarrassing-

I love you, you're so adorable-

"Sasu, talk to me, I'm right here, aren't I? I want to hear your voice properly, not just your thoughts", Naruto smiled lightly.

Ah, no- that's- uh- no way, you're too much...

'So embarrassing~~~'

Sasuke's thoughts trailed off even after he went back to hiding his face completely again.

"Sasu..?", Naruto persisted with a smile.

"Shut up, Idiot...", Sasuke mumbled back.

Naruto chuckled and leaned down, hands placed on Sasuke's shoulders, he gently kissed his hair.

A few girls and even some guys were letting out squealing and excited noises but neither of them heard a thing, having completely tuned out all of the noises around them. Drowning in their own little world.
